Laura Carter Notary
Notaries in England and Wales form the third and oldest branch of the legal profession in the United Kingdom. The office of a Notary Public is steeped in history having its origin in Roman times. Notaries were originally scribes or copiers before developing into a profession. A Notary is an Officer of the Law who holds an internationally recognised public office.

Therefore, a Notary Public's seal and signature is recognised as evidence of a responsible Legal Officer almost worldwide. A Notary Public prepares Notarial Acts, mainly being documents executed in England and Wales for use everywhere in the world. The documents, transactions and events that I can authenticate are varied and it helps me to have as much information as possible before the appointment so that I am able to offer an efficient service.
Services
Laura Carter is a local Notary Public serving north and east Northamptonshire and the adjacent county of Cambridgeshire. She provides a full professional service to both commercial and individual clients when a notarisation of documents, transactions or events is required.

Appointments can be arranged so as to accommodate the needs of most clients both in an office environment in Thrapston in the county of Northamptonshire or site visits where required. You can visit Laura at her office in the historic market town of Thrapston. The office has car parking facilities. Thrapston is conveniently located just off junctions 12 and 13 of the A14 in Northamptonshire.
The Legalisation Office have announced that they will not legalise documents which are solely in a foreign language unless (as an absolute minimum) some indication is given as to the content of the document. This really just confirms that when a document is signed we must all understand the contents of the document.
