The company was set up by Brian Field, who is an apprentice trained Mechanical Electrical Engineer in the early 70s. He served his time at Vickers defence factory in Leeds known as Barnbow. Vickers manufactured tanks and were a munitions factory during the war who were known for producing some of the best quality engineers in the country.
We helped a large car manufacturer reduce their water to drain, reduce their chemical usage and improve the quality of their water. Safestyle UK approached us to help them improve the efficiency of an essential process. Their glass washing machine was being fed by two small water softening plants and reverse osmosis (RO) systems, but they were experiencing failures with double glazed units.

Demin plants (Also known as DM plants) consist of two pressure vessels; one containing cation and the other containing anion exchange resins. Raw water passes through the cation vessel first, where positively charged ions are chemically exchanged for hydrogen ions. It then continues to the anion vessel where negatively charged ions are chemically exchanged for hydroxide ions.
