Services
Here at Harper Motors in Maidenhead we MOT test both Class 4 (cars & motorhomes) and Class 7 (commercial vehicles over 3000Kg to 3500Kg). The MOT Test is a legal requirement for any car that is over three years old. In addition the test needs to be completed every year on the anniversary of the previous test.
Ensuring your car is serviced regularly is a key element in maintaining its reliability, which ensures the cost of running your car is kept as low as possible. Safety - a full service checks all the main moving parts of the car, which means major faults can often be found before they become a problem.
We have the specialist equipment on site to fully service and maintain the air conditioning or climate control system in your car using R123A and R1234YF Gases. There are many garages and service centres that do not carry the equipment needed to provide a complete service and will instead have to take your car to someone that has.

Following a motorway breakdown I received really valuable advise from Harper Motors. They looked over the car and said that instead of them repairing the car I would do better to go to a Ford main dealer, as they may do the work under warranty even though the car was 7 years old. It was a serious fault and they were right. Ford did the work at no charge. Harper Motors could have charge me for a repair but they were professional and saved me a significant amount of money. I really valued their honesty and would recommend them.

I went to Harper Motors after Audi Main Dealer presented me with a £4K+ quote for some issues with my A5. I wanted a 2nd opinion and went here and thank goodness I did. They were professional and kept me informed every step of the way. In the end I spend well under £1k - they even did some minor jobs for me which I had put off, all included in the total price.

I do feel the need to shout about how fantastic Harper Motors are. I called the garage for the first time last week distraught. I spoke to Mike about an ongoing water leak in my Scirocco. Immediately I knew I had found the right expert to tackle a problem that 5 previous garages could not resolve. Mike explained how he would resolve this matter on the phone which helped massively. Used twice and will definitely use again - recommended! VW quoted me £1,110 for fitting a new compresser for my air-con and they also did a Vehicle Health check identifying a whole bunch of issues (including a knocking flywheel) that they recommended were investigated, all with a hefty price tag. Got a second opinion from Harpers who were really, really helpful and took the time to explain everything. Paid around £38 for them to look at all the issues VW had listed and Harpers helped me understand what really needed doing and what was within reasonable tolerances on an older vehicle. Now booked

Can only share personal experience of Harper Motors' service. It wasn't fit for purpose of replacing rear view mirror, as requested.
Precious time & money was wasted, on top of being without my car all day.
Booked my car in for Weds 19 October, explaining it needed a new anti-glare rear view mirror which I knew cost £200.
Was surprised this part hadn't been ordered when dropped my car off first thing. Rang to see if work was finished, to be told I'd turned anti-glare button off.
Was charged £54 which included investigating rattle noise (another story). £18 was for unrequested check of rear

I have been taking my Golf and Audi a6 to Harper Motors for four years. Really can't recommend them enough. I don't know a great deal about cars so I had searched for years to find a garage that wouldn't leave me feeling uneasy or overpaying. They are fair, honest, flexible and extremely knowledgeable. They have helped me out several times when I was in a bind (emergency pit stop, home visits etc). I have complete confidence in them to do good quality work for a fair price.
