Woodworm Studios was first conceived by Dave Pegg of Fairport Convention over 30 years ago. The studio has many commercial releases under its belt from Fairport Convention, Dave Swarbrick, Jethro Tull and more recently, On a Friday (Radiohead) and Thea Gilmore to name but a few. Woodworm Studios has been refurbished into a state of the art residential recording studio with a 24 channel SSL Duality at it's heart.
Every effort had been made to retain the character, history and creative atmosphere, whilst indulging the client in a professional, comfortable and relaxing environment.

The studio is also equipped with a PMC 5.1 monitor system for sound to picture work, music for video games, or for a surround mix of your composition to wow your clients. Send us your audio files and we will mix your material through the SSL Duality using all the outboard and monitoring at our disposal to create the mix you never thought was possible!
We offer a variety of services and options for your project. If you contact us about your project and what you're looking for, we'll be sure to get a quote to you ASAP. All balances must be settled before the end of the sessions, all recordings remain property of Woodworms Studios until full payment has been made.

Really enjoyed my weekend recording at this studio. Beautiful village setting. Parking directly outside. Downstairs, an isolation booth, upstairs another, all with windows or glass paneling so you can still see each other. Equipment includes Yamaha baby grand, Hammond organ, Gretsch drum kit, all the mics you might want including Nueman U87s. Plenty of headphone mixer amps, so everyone can hear what they want to hear. Control room has Protools running through an SSL desk. Huge selection of preamps. Near field and larger monitors. Very comfortable environment, with kitchen, Xbox, rooms to sleep

Me and my lads can certainly attest to having a wonderful time recording at Woodworm Studio! Stuart made us feel extremely welcome and was always up for a good laugh in between helping us to lay down our respective parts. The location was absolutely lovely and the atmosphere was extremely relaxed. Stuart was there for us at every step of the… recording process and really knows how to keep the morale up when multiple takes are required and doesn't stop until he's got the best sound possible for you! We spent a weekend recording and managed to achieve so much in the time we were there. Big
