Services
At The Family Psychologist we understand that parents and professionals need honest, open answers when making decisions about what is right for their family. Our Multi-Disciplinary Team is headed by Dr Rachel Johnson who has over twelve years of NHS and private experience in the field of clinical psychological assessme.
Dr Rachel Johnson has 15 years of NHS and private experience in the field of clinical psychological assessment and intervention with children and adults, across health, education and social care settings. Rachel works with children and families of all ages, from babies through to late teens, who come with a wide range of behavioural, emotional and development difficulties, as well as educational and parenting concerns.
At The Family Psychologist, we believe that every family should be able to access the support they need, when they need it and at a price they can afford, especially given how much life with young children can change over a matter of weeks. Local Authorites please contact us if you require contract prices.
Being assessed privately for a diagnosis of an Autistic Spectrum Condition can greatly reduce the waiting times that you would experience, due to the lengthy delays for diagnosis within the NHS. This is to do with the funding received and the limited amount of new clients this funding allows us to see every month.
A Child & Family Psychologist works to reduce distress and promote psychological wellbeing. In working with children and families, this may involve one-to-one sessions with a young person, sessions where parents attend with their child/children, or group sessions, where young people or families with similar concerns work together to find solutions.

Possibly the most painstaking process to go through only made worse by constant inaccuracies, delays and lack of responses from the organisation.
No sense of care for individual patients, just a name on a list.
