The Stone Horse
A warm and welcoming country pub in the heart of Kent. With a simple but tasty new hot and cold menu and huge selection of beverages we look forward to welcoming you through our doors. Bring your four legged friends as we are dog friendly, you can both enjoy our large garden with French Boules court.

The Stone Horse has been a licensed premises since 1886 and the building itself dates back to 1774 during the reign of King George III and still has many of its original features. It falls directly upon the boundary between Gravesham and Medway and is recognised as such by both councils.

Been here a few times, absolutely brilliant bar staff and a really friendly environment. Wasn't sure I'd fit in with my tattood face, but I've made some good friends in here. Highly recommended

Great traditional country pub. Wonderful food, large portions, child and dog friendly. Even a bonio for our fur baby on entry too. Highly recommended

I've eaten here before, quite a few years ago now, and it was very good food, with generous portions.
I went there last week with a friend for lunch, and ordered a Ham Ploughmans for £11.95. When it arrived on a slab of wood, this Ham Ploughmans consisted of a thick slice of bread cut in half, 3 small slices of ham (which had seen better days to be fair) a tiny side salad, a dollop of Branston Pickle, and a few silverskin pickled onions and a few tiny pickled gherkins.
Although it was sold as a Ham Ploughmans, it was basically the same amount of food as a glorified ham sandwich.
That's a lunch

Come here a lot on my lunch breaks with my dog. Very welcoming bar staff and chatty regulars. Food is always great home made quality (no 'chain like' frozen food imported here it seems - this type of pub seem to be far and few between now days.) Good selection of beers and at least one guest ale that changes nearly each time I go there so always something new to try. Will keep coming back.

Really nice little pub this. Friendly atmosphere and attracts a good mix of people. They have added some outside seating since the smoking ban and they have heaters. Bar Billiards inside and darts. They do serve some bar snacks. A reasonable selection of real ales.
