SK Dance Studio's main dance space has a beautiful professional-grade sprung dance floor - it's a sheer joy to dance on! Our dance floor is designed to absorb shock and therefore help to protect precious joints and bones from injury. This is particularly important when jumping and leaping, or when performing repetitive moves like in tap dancing for example.
Through a combination of our main school show, smaller events and professional shows on big theatre stages, there's plenty of opportunities for all our dancers to shine on stage. Dancing on stage is an important part of what we do at SK Dance Studio, so as well as developing the technical ability of our dancers, we devote plenty of class time to building performance skills.

We offer a wide range of dance classes suitable for different age groups and abilities. Ballet, tap and modern class time includes a balanced mix of formal syllabus training in preparation for graded ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) examinations and ADA (Allied Dancing Association) medal tests, as well as the opportunity to work on a huge variety of performance dance styles in readiness for show-time.

Joanne - always loved to dance so 3 years ago (in my forties) I started tap, and ballet 2 years ago. Best thing ever. No matter what level of skill or confidence you are you are made to feel welome. Been great for the soul aswell as fitness and everyone is friendly. Definately recommend you give it a go.

When I moved to the area I wanted to take up dancing again. I was so pleased to find adult classes in tap and ballet at a later time in the evening. I love going to the classes everyone is so friendly and the content of the classes is great. There is always something to work towards such as shows or Tapathon and I have really enjoyed my year here.

Both of my children attended SK Dance Studio and loved every moment. I was really impressed bt the professionalism of the teaching staff, especially in the ballet classes. The level of support and guidance my daughters received was second to none and I'm very proud that my eldest has gone on to study Performance Art at university.

My daughter has danced with Susan for 10 years and I have seen her grow from a cute little girl standing on stage at the Palace, Manchester to a graceful dancer who has just completed her Grade 5 ballet exam and Silver tap. Susan and her assistant teachers always put the girls first and help them achieve their full potential. I took my daughter (Paige) to the SK dance studio when she was just 2 years old, after it being recommended to me by a friend. We went along on that first Saturday morning not knowing what to expect. When we arrived we were made to feel extremely welcome by Susan, and my daughter settled in straight away. She soon made lots of new friends and quickly began to learn the dance routines. At the age of 3 I took my first dance steps at SK Dance Studio (formally Susan Kielb School of Dance) and dancing has been a big part of my life ever since. Being able to dress up in fabulous glitzy costumes and perform in theatres is a little girls dream and 26 years later I'm still part of it all.
SK Dance studio offers a wide range of classes from ballet to tap to street dance and hip hop and caters for all abilities and ages. With opportunities to take exams, medal tests and of course be part of a show, it gives you a sense of pride and achievement when you see the end result.

I have been a pupil at SK Dance Studio since the age of two. I learned and loved everything about it, and gradually became more and more immersed in the world of dance. The classes are thoroughly enjoyable and I have enjoyed every part of my experience from the exams, that have been a lot of hard work but in the end very rewarding, to the best part, the school shows. I have performed at many fantastic places with SK Dance over the years, such as the Liverpool Empire, Blackpool Opera house and my ultimate favourite being Disneyland Paris. "For as long as I can remember I have always loved to dance. I was thrilled when I went to SK Dance aged 5 and started to learn all sorts of new styles. As we progressed up the school we took exams, had presentation evenings and performed in whole school shows. When I was 8 we performed The Tales of Beatrix Potter in a variety show called ‘Hits of Great Musicals’ at The Opera House Theatre, Blackpool Winter Gardens. Brilliant school with a great fun, learning attitude. Does not have the expenses that other schools normally push onto you. They try to keep the costs down on every aspect from class prices to costume prices, yet always provide top quality instruction and puts on a show that blows us all away! It is a very friendly atmosphere, all the children are friends and enjoy going every week. SK Dance is well known in the dance community and is always invited to take part in performances on big stages across the country. I would highly recommend SK Dance!
