We spent many weeks doing research into wood burning stoves, visiting local show rooms, obtaining quotes from 5 suppliers and no one recommended the Burley range, as the emphasis was on Stovax and other brands. Whatever we saw, we did not like, either the handles were flimsy or awkward or the designs either too traditional or too contemporary.

Couldn’t get my roof watertight and kept sending the same useless ignorant arsole back to try and try again!
Eventually they sent someone else round who basically laughed at the previous attempts. Water ingress resumed and a partial new plasterboard, plaster etc were required but we paid NOT Batley Clueless!!!!!!
Eventually I got a roofer mate round who fixed the problem in approximately 90 minutes.

They had a good price for the stove we wanted and were very helpful until we placed an order by phone and paid for the stove by credit card. After that everything went down hill. They promised delivery in 2 weeks over the phone but sent no order acknowledgement or receipt. After 4 weeks I started chasing by phone and by email, no-one answered either. After 6 weeks I was worried and started chasing daily leaving voicemails and emails but no response. Eventually I emailed saying I wanted to cancel, that produced a response but still no delivery commitment so after some more patience I cancelled.

After completing a house renovation we needed a cheaper long term method of heating our house, After asking various friends we were recommended to Batley Barless.
Knowing very little on the subject we went to take a look and found the staff to be very helpful, We explained our needs and requirements and offered various options and encouraged to take some brochures and take our time, Consider the advantages of some and given prices on the options available.
Which was reassuring rather than be pushed into a sale
We returned and ordered a Nestor Martin Stanford 23 which we are delighted with, And
