Kincardine Lodge, built in 1908 by a sea captain, still retains many of its original features with two stunning fireplaces of the "Arts and Crafts" era. The unusual front door and surrounding painted glass panels with echoes of Charles Rennie Mackintosh welcomes your arrival, and the characteristic woodwork is replicated in the staircases, galleried landing and throughout the house.

The lochside Villa has a variety of rooms ranging from double and twin rooms with en-suite facilities, to a double and twin with shared use of bathroom. The prime suites have stunning views of the loch and hills and across the Kilbrannan Sound to Kintyre, Loch Fyne and Argyll - a definite "WOW" factor.
Services
The Cottage Guide for availability and tariff. A delightful cottage that sleeps 2 people attached to Kincardine Lodge. This is a true haven of peace and tranquility with breathtaking views over Loch Ranza towards the 12th century castle and Kintyre. Situated in one of Scotland's prettiest sea lochs, Lochranza is an idyllic setting for a peaceful holiday.
Lochranza is 15 miles from the main port at Brodick, approx a 30 minute drive. On leaving the ferry, turn right, travel through Brodick and follow the signs to Lochranza around the coast through Corrie and Sannox. As you approach Lochranza come down the steep hill crossing over a bridge, past the Distillery on your left, continue for 3/4 mile through the village with the castle on your right.
Starting in Brodick it weaves its way around a coastline mainly on raised beaches exposed after the retreat of the last ice age, dropping into sandy beaches with volcanic outcrops, along grassy paths and through pretty villages. The close proximity of the wildlife is so special and your first sighting of an otter or basking shark will stay with you forever.

The setting is just spectacular, and the breakfast is delightful. The house itself is very cozy, and Jean and Andy are the consummate hosts. Jean was keen to help us be sure to see Hutton's unconformity and the centipede tracks with maps and other helpful info. We just cannot say enough about what a special place this is! I was just looking through our photos from last year and found this lovely sitting room photo that makes us wish we were back again, and hope to be back soon!

Beautiful B&B in the north of Arran. Jean and Andy are lovely hosts. Jean provided us with good information about hiking routes and points of interest on Arran. We loved to relax in their lounge room after our long hiking day. Delicious breakfast, you have to taste the smoked kipper! The rooms are spacious and clean with a beautiful view on Lochranza Castle. We also met the squirrel that lives in backyard of the B&B.
