All ages are welcome - we're just 9 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon. It was fabulous to have the BBC Ndeavour Moth Group on site last month. Grace Brindle from the Compton Verney Team had asked Bob (on behalf of the BBC Ndeavour Moth Group) to run some.

Raining in Warwickshire, so popped into Compton Verney. Not disappointed , fascinating history, resulting in a a fine restored period building with sophisticated new extension. An intriguing mix of art collections to be enjoyed and then a very pleasant coffee and snack in the relaxing cafe area.
Must go back when better weather to walk round and appreciate the landscaped grounds.

Although beautiful, it wasn't what I was expecting. As an art gallery, I was thought the grounds to be peaceful & noise would be confined to the play area. Absolutely beautiful park and house. The trees are magnificent. There is a lake and a meadow. Lots of open spaces for picnics. The cafe sells the usual if you don't like picnics. I didn't visit the art galleries but I will definitely do that next time I visit. I hear they are special. Well worth a day out.

Landscaped garden with lake (Capability Brown) with some impressive established redwoods . The house has been mainly converted to it's new role as art gallery. Some facilities for younger visitors as play areas and teaching zones.
Gallery excellent, permanent collections included in entry, temporary exhibits at charge. Enjoyed the Folk Art collection especially.
