Doodle Bugs Nursery is a charity that is dedicated to creating a nurturing, stimulating and welcoming environment for all children. Our unique programmes incorporate a variety of educational theories, while always keeping the child's best interest in mind and allowing for hands-on, experiential learning.
With our progressive and holistic early childhood education philosophy, we understand that each child has unique needs and interests. We provide the environment and tools your child needs to thrive to the best of their abilities. When we expose children to different environments and various learning experiences, we allow them to explore their self-awareness and gain a sense of the world around them.

Services
At Doodle Bugs Nursery, our mission consists of providing a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe. Our unique day care offers various activities that are specifically designed to encourage each child's growth. Through cooperative play and creative activities, kids reach their social, emotional and physical milestones naturally and with ease.
We take babies from six months of age and our aim is to provide the reassurance, security and stimulation that they need to develop their senses and reach developmental milestones. Our dedicated baby area provides a 'home from home' bright and cosy atmosphere for children to start their nursery experience in.
When your child reaches the age of 2, they join the main nursery and pre-school room. Our aim is to encourage independence and to stimulate intellectual and emotional development. Children will have opportunities for settling in sessions to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of care. The experienced staff remain focused on the care and relationships that are vital to a young child, whilst at the same time gently encouraging independence.
Doodle Bugs Nursery is a Trustee-led organisation. The role of a Trustee is to provide strategic leadership and support to the management team. Our trustees are local volunteers who bring a range of skillsets to assist with the running of the nursery. Catherine Mawston is a recently retired Headteacher with extensive experience in independent and state schools and in the education and training of adults as an Officer in the RAF.
The educational programmes at Doodle Bugs Nursery were created with our children's needs in mind: to mature and develop in a safe yet stimulating environment which gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.
