Our ethos at Little Treasures is for both children and staff to be happy and enjoy a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment in which to enrich young minds and lives through a play to learn approach. We treat each child as special and individual; we allow the children's natural curiosity and enthusiasm to instil a real love of learning.
We recognise that even the youngest children look, listen and learn most effectively through play activities. We promote confidence, respect for others, good manners, self-awareness and an interest in the environment in which they grow and learn in a natural way through freedom of movement and choice.

Services
We provide Nursery Education Funding for eligible 2-year-olds, as well as 15 hours funding for all 3 and 4 year-olds and 30 hours funding for eligible 3 and 4-year-olds. The term after your child's third birthday is when they become entitled to a minimum of 15 hours funded care for 38 weeks of the year.
Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning, but for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood. As the children develop socially and emotionally we encourage children to become part of the same routine allowing them to learn from each other and share experiences together.
We provide breakfast, a morning fresh fruit snack, a two-course hot lunch, afternoon tea and an early evening snack for the children, which is prepared on site daily. Milk and/or water is available at all times. Staff will liaise with you and our cook to ensure appropriate food is provided for every stage of development and individual requirements are catered for.
I first worked at Little Treasures in 2003 part-time while I completed my teacher training degree. Following two years working as a primary school teacher I returned in 2007 as a Preschool room teacher. With hard work and commitment, I worked my way up to my current role in 2015 becoming the nursery manager.
