Hello, my name is Joanne Briggs, owner of Warathwaite Luxury Boarding Kennel. As a dog lover, I believe that every dog deserves the highest standard of care and that's what we offer at Warathwaite. With a clear vision of providing the best care and facilities and after several years of hard work and planning, Warathwaite Luxury Boarding Kennel was born.
Here at Warathwaite Luxury Boarding Kennel we provide everything your dog needs and more. Set in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside our kennels have been purpose built for the health, well-being and comfort of your dog. Each kennel features an individual patio, underfloor heating, UPVC doors and windows as well as soundproof insulation.
Our dog grooming services are everything that a dog owner could want, from regular healthcare checks on things like feet, ears and teeth to something much more like pampering your pet. Joanne is qualified to Level 3 and has 10 years' experience of grooming her own dogs for shows and for a healthy life.

I would like to thank Joanne & Wilson for taking such good care of Kiki & Alfie whilst we were away on holiday. It’s comforting knowing that they are being looked after so well by two people who are genuine dog lovers. They both got groomed whilst staying there & Joanne has done a fantastic job good value too. Highly recommend the grooming & the kennels dogs get their luxury holiday in their outstanding kennels, while we are on hours . My two will definitely go back to stay when we go away next & to get groomed.

We looked far and wide for somewhere to look after our two dogs for a few days while we had a city break. We were struggling to find somewhere that we felt was suitable and we'd viewed lots of places. We didn't want to leave them just anywhere, they're important members of our family after all. Then we heard, by chance, that new kennels at Warathwaite near Carlisle were about to open! We contacted them immediately and arranged a visit. The owners were so friendly and knowlegable and the accomodation for our boys was, well, luxurious! We booked them in straight away! We were sent photo's of them
