Basement studio believe that a good, clean signal chain is the best possible start for any recording project. Services
As experienced musicians, our sound engineers understand what is required to bring your vision to life. At Basement studio we work with you to achieve exactly the sound you're looking for at an affordable price. Our aim is not only to provide a facility that is technically and acoustically competitive, but also provide opportunities for people who wouldn't normally have the chance to use such a resource.
Clean, atmospheric, and unlike other established Rehearsal Rooms, you're not butting heads with other bands!. We also offer the Live Rooms of Basement Studio for rehearsal. They are clean, atmospheric, and unlike other established Rehearsal Rooms, you're not butting heads with other bands!

Our main rehearsal space is competitively priced and comes with a Soundcraft 6 Channel Mixer, 2 x Shure SM58 mics, Fender Rumble 200 Bass Amp, a selection of Guitar Amps and a Yamaha drum kit minus cymbals & snare.Basement Hire is a sister company of Basement Studio. Providing professional sound and lighting hire, with sound & lighting engineers also available upon request.
At Basement Studio we believe that our biggest asset is our engineers. We could have the best studio equipment in the world, but without the necessary expertise, experience and creativity, the end result would still be inferior. Sean is our senior engineer and has been with us since our very early days.

Used this studio for a jam/rehearsal with old friends. It was clean, tidy and fairly well equipped. (More than enough for what we needed)
Free tea and coffee as well as snacks that could be purchased. Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere.
Priced fairly for rehearsal, as you would expect.

Poorly equipped with junk shop gear. Not for the professional. Through bluff alone, the owner and his charming lady might get a few naive amateurs to pay the exorbitant fees. Believe me, one can get far far better value in Dorset! The owner reminds me of a goldfish in a bowl. From the outside one can see he lives in a tiny world. And his view of the real world is distorted. In my dealings with music (which have made me the owner of over £1million in houses alone) I have met some fragile ego's, but Sean wins the prize! Dare to point out that he has cheap monitors and you'll get wounded replies

We went in with a full rock band wall of noise and the helpful engineers took us through the stages of recording a two track demo. A great experience for all of us.
