It has since changed hands twice, most recently coming under the guidance of Mrs. Indira Panchal BSc(Hons) in 1991. Since this date, the pharmacy has evolved from a small local pharmacy to a group of highly active, vibrant, full service pharmacies in the Bedford area with Berkeley Pharmacy opening in 2003, The Village Pharmacy in 2005, and Shortstown Pharmacy in 2009.

Services
We offer a wide range of travel vaccinations at our pharmacy. If you need vaccinations for travel purposes or occupational health, we are well placed to help you. Our travel vaccination pharmacists will take you through a consultation to establish your vaccination needs and requirements. We also offer anti-malarials which can be dispensed at the same appointment.
If you get regular prescriptions, the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) may be able to save you time by avoiding unnecessary trips to your GP. Choosing a pharmacy or dispensing appliance contractor to process your EPS prescription is called nomination.
This means you'll no longer have to collect a paper repeat prescription from your GP practice - instead, you can go straight to the nominated pharmacy or dispensing appliance contractor to pick up your medicines or medical appliances.Because your pharmacist has already received your electronic prescription, they may be able to prepare your items in advance, so you just have to pick it up with no extra wait.

As a Meiklejohn Pharmacy customer with regular medication needs, if you find your time is at a premium why don't you ask our Pharmacy staff to register you for our free Repeat Prescription Service. The service we provide is easy to set up - you authorise us to collect your prescription from your doctor on your behalf, so that we can get your medication prepared and waiting for you whenever you visit the Pharmacy.

Booked an appointment, and made the trip over, to find them shuttered and not answering the phone. Assume they are taking money from the NHS for the 'service' they are providing. Absolutely appalling.
I note "(Owner)" has taken the time to reply to this without leaving a name, or allowing a response. "Owner", you called me some two hours after my appointment, and your willingness to lie to my face says more about your practice than any review could.

I was advised by the NHS through the passive aggressive texts telling me to book an appointment for my booster, so on the day of the appointment the pharmacy was closed with about 10 other people waiting who had also booked appointments. One person recieved a message saying they were late for there appointment despite standing outside the locked pharmacy. I am not surprised the lovely owner would not get out of bed on a sunday to help the situation.

I recently changed to this pharmacy and am very pleased with the service. I recieve my prescriptions promptly, the pharmacist is very knowledgeable and helpful when asked for advice even though it is clear to see she is very busy. I am amazed at the vast range of items they stock in the shop too. I had my flu jab which was much easier than trying to book at my GP surgery. The pharmacist was very professional and wore a mask and used hand sanitiser before and after doing my jab.
All in all a very pleasant, bright, clean pharmacy and i would definitely recommend a visit!

Dirty, filthy place with the rudest pharmacist I've ever talked to, No gloves when dealing with injections, and then onto the next person. Reporting to the NHS for malpractice, and in this time of pandemic too, absolutely not acceptable, I'll be contacting ITV news as well, You just watch. Also I heard how you talk to one of your staff who pointed out the same thing about the gloves to you the other day, ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.

Had my second vaccine here, the lady administering the vaccine was asked by the person before me why they were not wearing gloves and was extremely dismissive of their concern. When it was my turn the lady stayed sat behind her desk and shouted out to me to ask if I was next. Seeing as I do not know how things are run there i replied I did not know. I was rudely gestured into the room, had the questions asked and had the vaccine administered. The lady was still not wearing gloves and did not clean down the area before administering the vaccine. The whole encounter just felt like the people visiting

I was actually staggered at how rude and unhelpful they were. I dont normally put bad comments on FB pages, on this occasion it is justified.
Having asked for help and getting the painkillers delivered I was basically told tough, get someone to pick them up. I live within a couple of miles away, and on this occasion was stuck and without help, I was aware a delivery service was available hence asking.
I now have to wait for 4 days in a lot of pain and even then not sure if they will deliver.
