Services
We are all family at O'Malleys and it is our promise to treat all those we care for and support as if they are family too. Managing Director Jack, along with siblings Luke and Grace, are also supported by uncles Andy and John and cousins Ian and Sean who assist on funeral services. His exposure to funerals began whilst altar serving in his childhood at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Burntwood.
Burials can be significantly more expensive than cremations. This higher price is due to the rising cost of purchasing graves as space for new interments becomes increasingly limited. Prices vary from area to area and are different depending on whether a burial is to take place in a new grave or a pre-owned plot.
When someone passes away, their death will need to be verified by a Nurse, Doctor or Paramedic. The 'Medical Cause of Death Certificate' is produced by the last Doctor to treat your loved one. The GP or hospital staff may ask if the funeral is to be a burial or cremation, this is so the relevant paperwork can be prepared for the funeral director.
You could get a Funeral Expenses payment from the government if you claim certain benefits and need help with some of the funeral costs. The person claiming one of these benefits must be the partner or a very close relative of the person who has died. You may not get help if another close relative of the deceased (such as a sibling or parent) is in work and can help with the cost of the funeral.
A Pre-paid funeral plan is a way of planning and paying for your funeral in advance to save you and your family time and money when the time comes. This can either be through a lump sum, or by monthly instalments. Having a prepaid funeral plan in place is the simplest, most caring and most practical way to remove the financial and emotional worry, as well as the responsibility, that unexpected funeral arrangements can bring.

I cannot thank Jack, Luke and Grace enough for the love and compassion they showed towards my family whilst dad was in their care. The O’Malley family are an incredible family run funeral directors who do the most fantastic job.
Dad was in their care for a month and during that time, they looked after him and us with such empathy, consideration and patience.
Jack and Luke were incredible. We are so grateful for their amazing organisational skills. They arranged everything for us and the stress was completely removed. Dad had the most perfect send off because of everything they did to support

We cannot recommend O'Malleys Family Funerals highly enough; every member of staff/family we came into contact with from our initial enquiry to burial at the cemetery was supportive, encouraging and empathetic.
O'Malleys' attention to every detail, every eventuality on the day, was second to none and we felt in very safe hands – so important at such a difficult time. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
Our sons said how the ‘coaching’ for bearing the coffin gave them confidence when they themselves were nervous and emotional carrying their grandad on his final journey.
Special thanks

The service, care and support we received from all the staff at O'Malley's was quite exceptional. Jack, Grace and their team treated us with great respect and helped us though the very sad loss of my mother. The celebrant Jack suggested gave a wonderful eulogy, having spent time with us finding out about her life and times. Thank you all at O'Malley's, I would recommend your services without hesitation.

At a difficult time Jack and Grace went to all possible lengths to support arrangements for my Mother's funeral and I cannot recommend them any more highly. They really do 'care' about the service and support that they offer going out of their way to meet any specific needs that you may have. As a family business their personal approach is exemplary and of the highest quality.

We had a stillbirth and almost went with a hospital arranged funeral, as they assured us that it would be easier. They couldn't get a funeral date until over a month after she died and so we decided to try and arrange something ourselves.
They were so caring and compassionate from the very first phone call. Jack came out the next morning to discuss the next steps and the funeral service and got us a date a lot sooner than the hospital could and it wasn't at all difficult. They took care of everything for us, we just had to say what we wanted.
They let me visit her in the funeral home and bring
