Rushden Podiatry
When we meet you for the first time, we like to get to know you. This isn't because we're being nosy! It's important to have a good understanding about you as a 'whole' person, which is why we'll ask you about all sorts of things, even how well you're sleeping. But don't worry, we'll examine your feet thoroughly and discuss any foot health concerns you have.

Our in-depth training means that your assessment may highlight other possible health problems such as diabetes or a heart condition. Each assessment is tailor-made to the individual. The tests we carry out and the questions we ask will be relevant to your age and presenting condition. It may be necessary to examine your 'gait' ie: the way you walk, to give us a better understanding of the cause of your problem.
Services
Rushden Podiatry has been established for over three years and has grown at a fast pace during this time. We are a team of three Podiatrists, all registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and College of Podiatry. Samantha is a registered Bupa provider. Rushden Podiatry serves Northamptonshire and the surrounding areas.
A callus is a toughened area of skin which has become relatively thick and hard due to repeated pressure, friction, or other irritation. A corn can occur on any weight bearing surface or on an area that is suffering from pressure or friction. We can help you with cracked heels by removing the dead skin and treating any underlying causes, as well as giving you information and advice to prevent recurrence.
An ingrowing toe nail occurs when the side of your toe nail has dug in the into the fleshy part of your toe, causing the toe to become swollen, inflamed and painful. This does not usually get better by itself, and often gets worse and can become infected. An effective and permanent solution to the problem is to have nail surgery.
If you're experiencing some kind of painful lower limb condition, you may be advised by one of our Podiatrists to undergo 'gait analysis'. Many aches and pains are the result of the way we move. Various triggers in our lives such as an injury or a change in our training regime can highlight certain errors in our biomechanics.
Our feet have to endure a lot of use during a lifetime so it's no wonder that our toe-nails can sometimes show signs of damage or infection. This may become obvious at any age, but more commonly as we get older. A change in the appearance of the nails can be a result of repetitive trauma or possibly dropping a heavy object directly on the nail.
