Bushwood Antiques
With over 8,500 pieces of English and Continental Antique Furniture and Accessories from the Georgian, Regency, Victorian and Edwardian periods in two showrooms and an arena-sized warehouse of over 25,000sq feet, we are one of the largest Antique Dealers in the country. As well as holding an enormous stock, we also provide a complete antiques-based interior design scheme for homes or offices in the UK and Worldwide.

I visited Bushwood Antiques for the first time earlier this week and was extremely impressed by the enormous range of items in stock. This certainly must be one of the most extensive outlets for antiques in the UK. I was warmly greeted and shown round the entire premises by the owner Tony for whom antiques have clearly been a lifetime passion.
Services
Anthony Bush, our Managing Director, started Bushwood Antiques more than 35 years ago. He began his career at an early age from his family home in Kingsbury, north London. When he left school he joined a firm of solicitors and during his lunchbreaks he spent time hunting for antiques in central London.
We have a highly experienced team of restorers and polishers in our workshops on site ready to restore each piece to an individual client's specifications. All our work is carried out using traditional methods of cabinetwork and polishing. Our antique restoration is carried out to the highest standard.
St Albans has a history spanning more than 2000 years and this can be traced vividly by visiting a few sites within easy walking distance of one another. It was a regional capital of ancient Britain and became a major Roman settlement and then a key ecclesiastical centre. It was so important that during the Wars of the Roses two battles were fought for it.
Formerly the Georgian country home of Lord Mountbatten, the traditions at Sopwell House were born in an era when service, hospitality and elegance were the standard, not the exception. Today, you can celebrate special occasions, conduct business, be pampered in the spa, move with the times in the gym or simply let time drift by at the pool and still enjoy that renowned service.
Set in the unruffled hamlet of Frithsden, near Berkhamsted, the Alford Arms is a pretty Victorian pub, full of surprises. As soon as you step inside, you can't help but get caught up in the lively, warm atmosphere, where the boisterous, friendly and attentive team really enjoys looking after the customers.

Absolutely rude man, who just about let us look around. We sell furniture he kept saying. I went there in my mucky builders clothes with matching steel toe cap boots. We were ready to spend a few bob, on the right bit of furnture. He kept hovering as if we were going to steal something. No wonder his buildings are still full of stock. Never going back!

I recently visited Bushwoood Antiques from America. I was extremely pleased with the selection of merchandise available and was able to buy almost everything I needed for my new home in one visit. Thank you to all Bushwoood staff who made this so easy. Tony Bush, the owner, was very pleasant to work with and very knowledgeable with the product. He assisted me with refinishing choices and I can't wait for my pieces to arrive.

When I visited today I was made to feel very unwelcome and an inconvenience to the owner. Avoid at all costs!!!
We phoned in advance to ensure their showrooms were open and were assured they were. When we arrived we were met by a nice lady at the reception who showed us to the first of the showrooms. From there we met the owner (Tony) and things went downhill very fast. His customer service is quite frankly appalling - we were unable to look around the stock and made to feel we were inconveniencing him by being potential buyers. We will not be revisiting!

This certainly must be one of the most extensive outlets for antiques in the UK. I was warmly greeted and shown round the entire premises by the owner Tony for whom antiques have clearly been a lifetime passion. I was fascinated to see so many interesting and varied items. On this occasion I was looking for an antique sofa and found exactly what I wanted at a very reasonable price ( a fraction of what I would have been charged in a pricey London showroom! Cleaning

I do not recommend going to this place. Although the collection is great, the service is terrible. Items are way overpriced. There are easier and cheaper ways to get antique furniture nowadays.

Loads of really lovely pieces. Could easily spend days looking at all the fantastic items. Selection of clocks took my breath away.
