Lewis Brassington founded Brassingtons in 1901. It is currently run by the 4th generation of Brassingtons, Peter and his wife Louise. They are carrying on the tradition of providing Hanley, Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire with good quality footwear and excellent service.
The main brands we stock are Clarks, Dr Martens, El Natura Lista, Loake, Padders, Petasil, Pods, Sanders, Wald Laufer, Startrite, a variety of Wellingtons and a wide range of slippers including wide fitting Velcro styles stocked all year round.Plus a range of lower priced unbranded footwear which we find useful for sandals, slippers and boots and safety work boots.

We aim to despatch your order as quickly as possible, we have extensive warehousing and endeavour to keep it fully stocked with the items listed on our website. This means we should be able to send your order out, by Royal Mail, on the same day as it is received or at least within one working day. Occasionally we may be temporarily out of stock in which case we will despatch your order within 5 working days.

I can't thank the team at brassingtons enough. after taking my children for their school shoes (great as always) I asked if they knew of anywhere that I could get my Dr Martins repaired. They very kindly organised this for no extra fee. They couldn't be repaired so I asked if it's worth me contacting Dr Martins, which they have also sorted out for… me. To say that they have massively exceeded my expectations is an understatement. I now have my NEW Dr Martins at no extra cost to me, but I'm sure it's more hassle for them especially at a busy time of year! Thank you Brassingtons!! Merry Christmas

I have today ordered over the phone a new pair of shoes from brassingtons Hanley it was so easy paid over the phone by card lady said they will be with you tomorrow Thursday but to my amazement I got a phone call saying they could drop them off on there way home now if that isn’t the best service in the world then I don’t know what is thank you for your fantastic service I will be calling again Friday for my other pair I want regards Dave Webb a very very happy customer

Took my daughter to get her first pair of shoes today. the staff were so welcoming and the service was excellent. They measured her feet and helped to find her perfect first shoes. very informative and tentative to my daughter, which made it a lovely experience. I remember my mum bringing me here when I was younger 😊

Visited to get my grandchild her 2nd pair of walking shoes , I haven’t been since my kids were young, still great service, feet measured & fitted properly, we will be back for her next pair , unlike the Clark’s shop, which I will never visit again, young girl tried to fob me off with the only pair of shoes they had in her size , that obviously didn’t fit properly !!

Excellent shoe shop, well worth a journey. The service is very good and they have a good range for men, women and children of all sizes at good prices. It is a family business and an interesting building as well. They have moved with the times and also have a good website. We buy nearly all our shoes there.
