St Davids Veterinary Group
Established in 1941 we are a trio of modern, well-equipped veterinary practices in and around the city of Exeter. We are passionate about animal care, and our team of highly skilled vets and nurses are dedicated to providing the best treatment for your pets. We are open for appointments six days a week and offer a 24-hour emergency service within our hospital at St Davids Station.

To help keep us all safe, please do not attend the practice unless you have a pre-booked appointment, or have arranged to collect food/medication.
Services
We believe in treating everyone's pet as if he or she was our own. Having animals ourselves we know how worrying it is when things go wrong, and always aim for not only with the best veterinary care, but also excellent communication, keeping you up to date and included in your pet's treatment. We treat all pet species, including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other rodents, birds and reptiles.
Here at St Davids Veterinary Group, we're very proud to have so many dedicated individuals working at our friendly practices. We are all passionate about animals and their well-being, from our veterinary surgeons and nurses to our essential support staff. All our staff undertake regular training to stay up to date in their fields.
St Davids Veterinary Group provides a wide range of pet care services. If you have any questions about your pet's need for treatment or a specific aspect of our service, please call the our veterinary hospital on 01392 271221 and speak to a member of our reception team. And finally, to make your trip to the vet as easy as possible, we have free, on-site parking for clients at our Exeter and Exminster branches.
Please note that one working day is required between placing your request and collecting the medication. Medication can be collected during our opening hours and must be paid for, in full, at the time of collection.

The general policy of this practice is to re-assess an animal requiring a repeat prescription every three to six months, but this may vary with individual circumstances and can range from two weeks to twelve months depending on the drug. There is a fee for a drugs re-examination. A written prescription may not always be appropriate and it is given at the vet's discretion.
If your pet has a problem during surgery hours, please telephone the practice immediately on 01392 271221 and we will ensure that you are offered an appointment on a priority basis. Please make it clear that the matter is not routine and we will do our utmost to attend to your pet at the earliest opportunity.

Could not be more positive about St David’s - when you’re worried about your animals, you just need friendly people and information at a level you can understand. The care they gave us as well as our dog was phenomenal. Dan, the vet, was amazing and explained everything to us and our our minds at ease. The prices were exceptionally reasonable and competitive for the local area - top quality care, peace of mind and you don’t need to pay through the nose for it!

We had an emergency over the weekend with our little boy (well cat...) and found that weekend out-of-hours calls were covered by St Davids Vets.
Honestly, as far as vets go this is the best thing we could have ever hoped for.
I wouldn't change a single thing about our experience, from the ladies that answered the phone, to the vet that took care of our boy, they are frankly all brilliant.
Most importantly he's already recovering well and virtually back to his normal self (if the ladies on in the afternoon of Sat 24/07/21 are reading this, thank you again!).
Our current vet is only 200m away

If I could give more than 5* then I would! St David’s took amazing care of our springer after eating something she wouldn’t have! The staff were all so friendly and caring and I couldn’t recommend them enough.

Took my dog there as out of hours emergencys during covid. Had to wait in the car which was expect. We were seen fairly quickly. The staff were lovely and helpful unlike my spaniel who can unwilling to go to other people but trotted in with vet no problem. The did a temporary fix to an injured foot.
Gave pain relief and advice . Can't thank them enough. They called following morning to make sure our own vet could see our dog that day. Great service.

Pip, our Border Terrier, had a skin tag removed at the Exminster Clinic, today. As always she & we were treated with great kindness, courtesy & professionalism, & Shannon made sure we were properly advised about her treatment on discharge into our care. The team at St Davids are wonderful under all circumstances - whether it’s a toenail clip or major surgery. If you’re looking for medical care for your loved pet, they are the best choice. I whole-heartedly recommend them to any pet owner.
