IK Classics was founded in 1998 with the aim of offering high quality classic car servicing and repairs. Now 20 plus years on, we specialise on all aspects of classic car ownership, from basic repairs and maintenance, too full ground-up restorations and everything in between.

Whether you are looking for a reliable and trustworthy company to handle the ongoing repairs to your vehicle, somewhere to store your car either short or long term, an experienced restoration team to give you vehicle that as new finish or somewhere to pass on your pride and joy to its next custodian we are the place to come.
Services
IK Classics has a fully equipped work shop in which our highly skilled mechanics are qualified to service all cars, modern or classic. We are more than your average garage - we are fully equipped to cater to all cars. We provide old style servicing on new cars and have all the diagnostic equipment for old and new cars alike.
IK Panelcraft has a fully equipped body shop and paint booth, and is capable of manufacturing panels. Unlike many modern body shops, who are geared up for rapid repairs of modern cars and are not used to making panels, our body shop frequently has to make the panel as well.

To that extent we have extensive panel-making facilities including; benders, folders and guillotines, edging jennies, flypresses, stretchers and shrinkers, an English Wheel as well as various fixtures and jigs to help make complex shapes. We have MiG, TiG and oxy-acetelyne welding equipment and are experienced with working with both steel and aluminium, the most common metals used in car body work.
We have a flexible approach to car storage and are able to cater for almost any request - whether your looking for short term storage while on holiday or having work done at home, to long term storage occasional exercising by us or frequent access at short notice. No two cars have the same package.
At IK Classics we understand that whether you are a seasoned classic car enthusiast, new to the passion or simply selling your pride and joy, dealing with the sale of a classic vehicle is an emotional decision. Thats why we ensure all our cars are presented in there best possible condition, and are given a thorough and truthful description.
Situated in the heart of the Pennines near Huddersfield, Yorkshire, and above Holmfirth's Summer Wine Country, IK Classics was established in 1998 by 25 year motoring and engineering professional Ian Kellett.

Ian's passion for classic and racing cars has been finely tuned and developed into a successful and expanding business; this blog will go behind the scenes of the body shop and bespoke car restoration projects at IK Classics to show motoring enthusiasts and interested parties alike what we do and how we do it.

Positive: Quality
Carried out a very thorough refurbishment. Communicated well throughout with recommendations of work when it came to options I had not considered. Very high standard of work and it can't have been easy to source components for such a rare model! The site is also worth a visit for a look around the cafe etc. Very well done!

Took my classic car in to the bodyshop for some rust repairs. Top quality work, they kept in touch throughout and handed the car over cleaned inside and out. Plus they do some brilliant homemade cakes in the cafe !. A bit off the beaten track but well worth a visit.

Interesting place for a self confessed petrol head, although if you like nice food in a different environment then this is definitely somewhere to try which is off the beaten track.
