Keith Taylor started work in a commercial vehicle workshop completing a four year indentured apprenticeship, working up to Foreman within five years. After seven years he moved on to be the UK plant engineer for a Danish plant company traveling all over Great Britain. Keith then set up being self employed in 1993 going limited in 2003 as Roundwood Garage.
In 2010 he moved to new larger premises in Knaresborough opening a class 4,5 and 7 MOT station and commercial vehicle safety centre getting such clients as NYCC, Bettys and Taylors Group, SB Utilities and a host of other local garages utilizing the superb MOT facilities. Keith now carries out all aspects of classic cars from routine maintenance to full ground up restoration.

Recently brought my MK2 Caddy van in for tracking. Not only did the guys in the shop sort my tracking out, but also fixed a lot of other small things on the van for me. Everyone working was very relaxed and made me feel a million times better about the work being done. 100% recomend to anyone needing work done on anything classic or modified!

Sixteen80 is a fantastic company to deal with. They look after my 1965 MK2 and do so with tremendous care and patience. They don’t rush the job, and everything is better than when they started. This time around I was having starting issues which came back to the dynamo being worn. Keith recommended swapping it for a Dynalternator, and swapping the… distributor for a 123-Ignition programmable distributor. The work (carried out by Angus who also works there) transformed the car - it starts and runs every time - idle and tick over are really stable, and all the lighting is just that little

I came up today to get a set of custom hoses made for they made me feel so welcome and while stripping my car I come across a slight issues straight away they made the hoses sorted the issues and also helped me out finishing it of, amazing old school mechinc with a new school twist would highly recommend these to anyone will be back for more work shortly.
