I started off working at Halfords in sales and customer care; in essence listening to people and helping them make informed decisions. I then moved into insurance helping people sort out motor insurance claims by claiming compensation for them. This job required technical knowledge of the law and so I studied and qualified to become a Lloyds broker.
I'm Gavin, an independent driving instructor offering driving lessons to the fine people of Aldershot. I have many years of experience in turning learner drivers into expert drivers and I look forward to doing the same for you. I firmly believe that it is my responsibility not just to teach my students how to drive but also to help them develop the correct attitude towards driving.

I have been driving for many years and I always believed that I am a careful and responsible driver. But when my family moved to England and I tried to get my drivers license, I was unsuccessful in the practical exam thrice. I had lost all hopes and felt very embarrassing. Gavin is an excellent driving instructor. He is great at teaching everything you need to know for the test as well as pointing out your mistakes and showing you how to fix them. His YouTube videos are brilliant and it's a great way to learn all you'll need to know.

Wow what can I say, Gavin has been a brilliant with our daughter. After failing a test with her previous instructor Gavin gave Heather the confidence she needed. He was always positive and knew exactly how to get the best out of her. Gavin was always on time and never rushed a lesson and very approachable.
Gavin may be slightly more expensive than other instructors but he really is worth every penny. The online content he has on YouTube really helped and explained so much.

Gavin has been excellent in helping me to pass my driving test. I changed over to Gavin after failing my first test and since then he has been wonderful. He has great knowledge on the ins and outs of driving and just today I passed my test with just two minors thanks to him. Gavin is an amazing instructor, and really helps you learn properly and correctly how to drive. Gavin is the reason why i was able to pass my driving test, and why i was confident that i would do so, as he had prepared me perfectly for anything that may have happened on my test, and if there was anything i was unsure of he was always willing to demonstrate and show me what i had to do. I would recommend Gavin to anyone who is wanting to learn to drive, as while he teaches you how to pass the test he also makes sure you know how to drive correctly and make informed, safe decisions while driving

Gav is a fantastic teacher who I would highly recommend to anybody learning to drive. He is extremely patient and friendly, he made me feel at ease immediately and safety is paramount in his lessons. I have always struggled with severe driving anxiety but Gav was able to help me finally tackle this after years of stress! When lockdown eased, his initial instructor was all booked up so I had to teach my son as best I could. We struggled to find someone to teach my son the finishing touches he needed for the drivers test because other driving schools had a rigid syllabus and were not able to accommodate.
In desperation, we turned to YouTube, and found

I contacted Gavin as I was looking to take some drivin lessons after getting my licence years ago and in different country. Gavin has simply been a great instructor. He was flexible, patient and really made me feel at ease during each lesson. He has provided me with lots of useful materials to understand the roads better and all lessons were tailored to me and what I needed to improve on. Gavin has been so patient with me and has taught me in a really engaging way that made me excited for my next lesson and super eager to learn more. He was super clear with what I need to do but also why I need to do it and his lessons prepared me not only to pass my driving test but to be prepared for the real world of driving beyond that.
