School house swimming Oldham, Greater Manchester has operated as a family run business for the past 28 years. The swimming pool measuring 12.5m x 6m was built along with the house in 1988 to accommodate our three sons who were all committed to swimming. Eventually the boys went on to swim at national level before going on to university.
In 1992, we decided to turn the pool over for the purpose of teaching small groups of adults and children in a friendly and secure environment. At any one time, only one group is being taught in the pool having this teacher's full attention. We feel that our success in teaching adults, in particular to swim is largely due to the small groups (4 adults) with the teaching being in the water with you, and a pool life guard on the poolside.

Services
At the present time there are 4 teachers working in the business with a combined total of 85 years expertise teaching swimming. We feel that our success is largely due to teaching pupils to develop good style and technique in small classes. We have taught generations of children, the majority going on to achieve A.S.A gold award.
Our experience in teaching adult swimming lessons in Oldham at our private pool, suggests that there is a significant proportion of adults who are unable to swim. This may be as a result of a frightening experience when younger or just a lack of opportunity to learn the skills required. Alternatively, many of those who come to our adult swimming lessons in Oldham, are able to swim but want to improve there technique.
