Services
CNH is designated as a 'pre-existing' home under present legislation and as such provides both shared (twin) and single room accommodation. There are 12 single and 7 twin bed rooms over two floors accessible by both stairs and passenger lift. All rooms are equipped with wash hand basin, nurse call alarm and smoke detectors.
Residents are always involved in the development and review of menus and their preferences are always taken into account with the overall desire to provide a balanced and nutritious menu. Meal times are a social occasion where staff aim to provide a flexible and unhurried event where residents can get together and chat as they eat.
The majority of our care staff are NVQ trained and several others are currently working towards this qualification. Care staff work closely with residents and colleagues in implementing the agreed plans of care. Our dedicated team of domestic staff ensure the highest possible standards of hygiene are maintained.
We respect that all of our residents are individuals, with their own lives to lead. We aim to provide a comfortable, supportive environment where our residents are respected as individuals and cared for with privacy, dignity and compassion. We strive to promote independence and support our residents to fulfil their goals and reach their potential.
All staff receive mandatory training and are encouraged to undertake further training as required to enhance their work with residents. Staff are offered opportunities during the day and in different formats to achieve learning outcomes. Staff are provided with various audit tools to monitor their performance/ practice against recognised standards and to ensure that their efforts remain resident-focused.
