Honesty, I think is the word here. Corbitts made a mistake on an auction bid that I made. Once I notified them of it they looked into the issue and were honest enough to say it was there mistake and they would try and fix it. They kept me advised with two calls in half an hour and resolved the situation promptly and efficiently. The test of any company is how they deal with a problem and Corbitts performed superbly.

Have visited Corbitts a few times now to buy coins.
Service has always been excellent and very friendly and there is never any pressure buying or selling.
One day when visiting with my wife the guy in charge went into the back and brought out a Charles the 2nd gold coin.
There are only 30 of these left and they are very valuable, we were amazed to be allowed to look at and handle such rare thing.
Little things make a difference.
Also have to point out that all the negative reviews are posted by the same person, for whatever reason, Deen ? needs to grow up and stop being such a sad, sad person

Having read a couple of these reviews I was slightly dubious about going to Corbitt's but it's very near the train station and I didn't have a lot of time before my train. I could not be happier with the service there. David was absolutely charming. Nothing was too much trouble and, even though I could not find what I was looking for in the short time I had available - there is so much stock to look through - David saw me to the door and wished me a safe journey. I will certainly be back there next time I'm in Newcastle.

This was quite a few years ago, and so I hope that it's gotten better. But I am still very annoyed.
A friend of mine who lived in Newcastle was buying stamps and sending them to me in Canada. He kept talking about Corbitts stamps.
Eventually I was able to visit my friend in Newcastle and was looking forward to spending some time in the stamp store.
Well I walked in and my friend Robert introduced me to the man behind the counter. I said hello, and told him I had been hearing about his store and getting some very nice stamps sent to me from my friend.
I didn't get the reaction or the reply that
