At first viewing, This is a proper Italian deli. Cheese selection, was good and sometimes, I'm told, fresh mozzarella shipped from Italy. Selection of Italian biscuits, several flavored amaretti biscuits, panettone ( Even Sicilian Panetone- I didn't know that was a thing). Staff was friendly and helpful. I'll be back

This place is so dangerous! Such a tiny space, but such a huge selection at really high standards.

They have absolutely awesome range across salami, cheese, pate, pesto, olives and all the Italian deli matters. Also amazing chocolates and biscuits and a little peace of heaven...

The customer service is pretty good too.

Amazing! I always love coming back!

An excellent deli to come to for fresh Italian food, with a great selection of fresh pesto and antipasti and jars of tasty treats and biscuits. It's not very cheap but it's a clean and freshly decorated and is a valuable addition to its immediate neighbourhood. Not quite like being in Italy but a nice shopping experience for the extra little bits that turn a decent meal delicious.

Oof, very tasty! Molto Tasty! Deary me, my Italian's less good than my appreciation of fine Italian food. And they got some fineries here my friends, honest.

Jars of the stuff. Your olives, sun-dried tomatoes, pestos, and all kinds of mushrooms and biscotti. You name it, your lovely Italian culinary fare, and they're likely to stock it, they're playing that game.

I bought some very nice cheese! Recommended.

Yup, fairly pricey, I will say that. But presented well, with all the products in their mouth-watering finery. And it made me realise just how good standard Italian

As soon as I went in this place I got the feeling the server was thinking 'this person isn't going to buy'. Well, they were right. It also didn't stop them jumping to attend to me when I had a question to ask.

It's full of absolutely gorgeous stuff. Unfortunately some of the prices were pretty jaw dropping! I was very tempted by a can of chestnut puree but decided £3.30 was too much for me!

If you are happy to pay £3 for a (small) bar of chocolate or up to a tenner for bottles of things like balsamic vinegar then get yourself along here. You'll soon be drooling

Montes is an Italian deli off a little side street in Islington.

This shop is slightly expensive (1.5O ciabatta rolls) but carries a good selection of olive oil, including the delicious highly coveted truffle variety.

There are cheeses which are of a decent price (around 1.70 for 100g) and a large selection of homemade pesto type sauces, olives and tomatoes in oil.

This store also had loads of crackers and it caters to the wine and cheese, cheese and wine contingent. ( Depends which way you see the importance; I just think of cheese and cheese, F@&!&k the wine.)
