My husband and I visited the Oliver Cromwell last night for the first time since it’s refurbishment. Always loved the old pub and pleased to see its retained its charm. The atmosphere was lovely and the furnishings comfortable. The new decor makes for pleasant surroundings too. We hadn’t planned to eat in there but having seen food arrive at the next table we were enticed to order the satay chicken wings and Parmesan and truffle chips. Both were superb. The pub was busy but the food came out in a timely manner and was hot. You won’t get a cheap snack here but if the food we had last night

Popped in tonight with a group of women after a meal out and was met with a thriving and lively atmosphere. It's been a while since I've been into a pub with a genuinely welcoming and buzzing culture. Staff are chilled, friendly, and swift at serving. Fellow drinkers are astonishingly polite and generous. This place has spirit while also feeling safe. I only wish this pub was my local!

If you're in need of a chill evening with some quality food, then look no further! As a gluten free human, this place was an absolute god-send while my husband and I were wandering the streets one night trying to decide what we were going to have for dinner. The Ollie Cromwell not only has gluten free options(and plenty of them) the food itself is fabulous with sandwiches(literally) the size of my face(definitely check out the club sandwich bc holy lord). The camembert was absolutely delicious and my husbands chicken burger defeated him handedly. Can't wait to go back!

Decent little pub. We piled in there on a works night out. We were very drunk, and left even more drunk than when we arrived. I played the piano there, everyone at work told me how good I was at the piano the next day. I don't know how to play the piano and played a single finger song I learned age 12, so yeah....we were all THAT drunk. 10/10 would go again.

The food here is delicious! Tight menu so they do everything really well. Service was very friendly but a little slow when we visited, which I think might have been because they were understaffed that day. But staff were apologetic about it and the food was worth the wait! I highly recommend getting dessert! Lovely setting too by the river in the historic part of St Ives.

Absolutely lovely atmosphere, have really enjoyed my lunch after a bike ride from Cambridge.
Such a beautiful and hearty roast, very nice staff and absolutely amazing biscoff cheesecake to die for! Not only highly recommended but if ever in the area, that's my favourite place to go to!
Everything was so great 10/10 stars!
