Beechenhurst Cafe
We are a family run business that set out to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with amazingly good food and drink, all served with a smile from the heart of the beautiful Forest of Dean.

From the beginning it was important to us to create somewhere we would go ourselves with our family, so we are pleased to welcome everyone, and our team really hope you'll notice that our menu has been thoughtfully put together to cater for all tastes, appetites and dietary requirements. We also have a special menu for your little ones!
Services
We're committed in doing everything we can to be green and sustainable. As the site is based in the beautiful Forest of Dean, the team is very keen to support the Forestry Commission, as well as the environment, to keep these stunning sites available for future generations to enjoy.

Our team is committed to taking action to help reduce unnecessary waste, pollution and simply create minimal negative impact on the global and local environment wherever possible.Much of our packaging (including cups, straws and takeaway boxes) is made from plants and are fully compostable, this means that no matter what bin they are placed in, it will still decompose in a matter of weeks.
We believe that our food and refreshments should reflect our beautiful Forest surroundings. We've carefully selected and sourced the best local ingredients to serve you delicious breakfasts, lunches, and a tempting selection of homemade cakes. Freshly prepared each morning, from our famous nachos, to our signature 16 hour slow roasted pulled pork, to our carefully selected local seasonal daily specials.
Beechenhurst Caf is wheelchair friendly and there is also an accessible ramp to the rear of the building allowing access to the 1st floor event / conference space. Access in and around the immediate Lodge area is on hard surfaced paths, there is designated parking for Blue Badge holders as close to the building as possible.
Passionate about food and customer service? Maybe you're looking to kick start your career in hospitality, or want to relocate, or climb the hospitality ladder? With big growth plans, and lots going on here, it's a great time to join our passionate catering team. Commitment to learning - we're looking for people that pick things up quickly and make a difference.
A choice of hot meal (see below), Ice-cream topped with sauce and a wafer, unlimited jugs of squash. Terrible service and overpriced. The cafe tried to sell me a chi latte which they tried to sell as a cinnamon milk drink. It's a latte - there is coffee in it. Chi is a type of tea....I couldn't stand there arguing and they offered no alternative. Disgraceful.

£9 for a child jacket potato with tuna and cheese ! Food is nice but absolutely over priced. I couldn’t believe it. £4.95 for a sausage roll. Prices need revising!

Overpriced and limited selection. We were hoping to get a fry up for breakfast. Unfortunately they only do snack bits like sausage rolls, cakes and drinks. Was nice outlook were it is and has a playground next to it so convenient for parents

Lovely afternoon. Bit muddy but the park has lots of rubber grip stuff over any slopes so no sliding down muddy hills even after storm Dennis. Stopped in the cafe for a cuppa when the rain started again and then back out to play on the swings before coming home. Waterproof clothing recommended for little ones as it if quite muddy and wet this time of year but still a great day out

Nice place to stop for lunch. Sat outside with pulled pork roll and a hot dog and a hot tea. Loads of picknic benches to sit down and enjoy the surroundings

Was over priced and no dairy free milk and for someone with a dairy allergy isn’t very helpful but was very expensive considering the small salad wasn’t very nice at all

Nice cafe. Order at the counter and then they deliver food to your table outside. Indoor seating available too. Nice helpings. Good selection of food. We had the pulled pork burger and fries, which was excellent. After a long walk on the sculpture trail, the burger hit the spot. A selection of ice cream sticks also available as well as children's meals.

Great open space, with log burner in one section, and clear views of the play area the other end. Good menu, very attractive and interesting cakes, clean, bright and airy. A great facility for families using the forest. They even have a microwave for heating bottles.
