After completing a BA Hons degree in Costume Interpretation at The Wimbledon School of Art, I then went on to work for various Theatre and Costume Companies, gaining valuable experience in the cutting and making historical and modern dress. I have worked for The Globe Theatre London, The Royal Opera House, London and Sydney, Grease the Musical and The Spice Girls first tour, to name but a few.
Your handmade wedding dress is based on your own ideas and designed exactly how you desire for your big day. Every detail is made to measure and handcrafted to make for a seamless fit. All parts of your wedding dress experience with me is personalised, unique to you and all based right here at my studio in Chislehurst, Kent.
It is very exciting to have your bridesmaid dresses made, choosing a colour and fabric that compliments your theme and giving your bridesmaids the enjoyment of having a dress created especially for them. I have created a variety bridesmaid dresses; chiffon bridesmaids, lace bridesmaids, and silk bridesmaid dresses all designed with attention to detail, complementing the bride's dress and considering the theme of the day.
Most wedding dresses require some kind of alterations. This could be the hem, taking in, lowering the neckline or adding sleeves, there are numerous different ways to create your dream dress with a perfect fit. Price is changeable, depending on the alteration, fabric and style. Please call or email do discuss what is required and a meeting will be arranged to fit and look at possibilities.
I offer one to one or one to two lessons in pattern cutting. Making a block pattern to personal measurements, making a toile, fitting and making alterations to the pattern. This can lead to making patterns from your own designs. This is not for beginners but those who have experience of using a sewing machine and a commercial pattern.

Anne did an amazing job altering my wedding dress. It needed quite a few alterations by the time our wedding came around - it needed to be taken in, the hem taken up as well as the straps taken up. Anne was so helpful and friendly and completed all the alterations very quickly. She did an incredible job!

Anne did an incredible job with the alterations on my wedding dress. When I received my dress from the bridal shop, I was really disappointed with it as the sizing was strange and it didn't hang right as it had done when I tried on the sample dress. Anne took the time to turn this dress into my perfect dress! She's so lovely to work with and was really patient, responsive and kind. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I am extremely satisfied with Anne's service. I am glad I found her to make my wedding blouse and veil. Although it was her first time making a blouse for a saree, she did an amazing job. She was very attentive and careful from the beginning process of consultation to choosing the fabrics to prototyping and the final garment. She catered every ideas I had in mind and made them into reality. She was very flexible with appointments and finished the work well in advance. I would definitely recommend her.

Anne made alterations to my sample sale wedding dress last year. I wanted to make it personal to me and Anne really helped me achieve that, she was especially helpful and really professional when I informed her I would be 4 months pregnant on my wedding day so had to hold off on making any major alterations to my stomach until closer to the time. I would highly recommend Anne if you are looking for alterations to an existing dress or creation of a new one.
