Services
We are very proud of our staff and Instructors, who have gained the recognised Driving Standards Agency qualifications and are experts in the field of motorcycle instruction, and a system of ongoing mutual assessment ensures they are all teaching to the same high standards. Our aim is to provide a safe learning environment for our clients and to make their first experiences of motorcycling as enjoyable as possible.
I began motorcycle training with Flintshire Motorcycle Training by doing my CBT. It was my first experience at riding a motorcycle and I was very nervous. The instructors made me feel comfortable and confident with the equipment. By the end of my CBT, I was riding on the road and I was hooked! I immediately went on to complete the DAS training and passed both the theory test and the practical road test first time.
Compulsory Basic Training follows a Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) course outline with a DVSA fully approved instructor. The CBT will normally take you from complete novice to competent learner motorcyclist in one day. We begin with an 'off road' session in a safe area followed by a minimum 2 hour session on the road.
You may only take this test is you are aged 21yrs + if you have held a Category A2 licence for 2yrs. This option is only available to riders who have held a Category A2 licence for a minimum of 2yrs. The tests are the same as those taking Direct Access, (see below) Training will be based on your requirements, working on the areas where it is needed most.
The manoeuvres for the module 1 test are conducted at specific speeds on a safe off-road site. You will need to complete a CBT course before training can commence and pass a theory test before you can take the practical tests. Your training for the practical on-road test will cover most, if not all of the possible routes your test examiner is likely to use.
