Founded in 1881, we are one of the oldest tennis clubs in the world! We have evolved from being a tennis club with 10 tennis courts to a sports club, also now offering 4 squash courts, a fully equipped gym, changing facilities with saunas and a newly refurbished bar/function room. We have a great team of tennis, squash and physical trainers/coaches who are ready to help you play, improve, compete, get fit and stay healthy.
We host numerous social events throughout the year where you can grab a drink from the bar, watch live sports on tv, enjoy some great food, BBQs in the summer, live music and dancing.

To give every player an opportunity to reach their full potential in a fun, supportive and focussed environment. 30 years coaching experience including county mini tennis, county, national/international junior tennis and adult world tour tennis. Working at various clubs as director of tennis/head coach, developing, driving and managing tennis programmes at clubs such as Mayfield LTC, Coolhurst LTC, Our Lady of Muswell LTC and Westway LTA HPC.
Never held a racket? No problem, our specially trained LTA Youth coaches will adapt to each individual, to help bring out their best in a safe, secure environment. All kids need to bring is their creative energy, because the programme is designed to grow as they do. Smaller courts and softer balls develop into the real deal as they pick up all the skills and know-how they need.
You'll know you've always got the option to get the kids burning off energy, picking up skills, making friends and having fun. TENNIS PROGRAMME - The morning will consist of warm-ups and co-ordination drills. Then on to tennis coaching, which will focus on the range of strokes; serves, forehands, backhands and volleys, aimed at improving technique.
Now it's time to get competitive. Finchley Manor for years have been competing in team tennis county and national level competitions. So lots of matches all year round! All matches are played against other clubs in Middlesex, we also have some of the best cooked food in the county!
In the summer when the sun is shining we have 10 men's teams, 2 womens teams and 1 mixed team competing in the Middlesex summer tennis leagues where we compete in doubles leagues and singles & double leagues.In the winter when you missed the xxx think competive tennis might stop, it doesn't.

We pride ourselves in offering the highest quality group coaching that we can, and hope to help players of all abilities to reach their potential. All our coaches hold Lawn Tennis Association (L.T.A.) coaching qualifications, a first aid certificate, a recent police check, and attend regular professional development coaching courses.

10 tennis courts of varying surfaces, inc 5 with floodlighting. Clubhouse with changing rooms, bar, function rooms and balcony over the tennis courts. Squash courts also available. Organises social tennis on Wednesday and Saturdays. Participates in local tennis leagues.
