Services
Our story began in 1955, when Bill and Kath Edwards moved up the hill to build Severndale Farm on a green field site and, at that time, the farm had just 76 acres and 30 dairy cows. 1972 saw the expansion of the business, with the purchase of Hanley Farm. Both Hanley and Severndale Farm are nestled in the glorious countryside, between the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean, just outside of Chepstow.
Our farm shop and deli boasts a vast range of local and artisan products, ranging from beers to berries. The majority of produce on offer is sourced within a 30 mile radius from our shop which means that the food is as fresh as possible, and also supports local food producers and growers. Enjoy a selection of hearty pies, quiches, sausage rolls, cakes and ready meals cooked in our kitchen by our brilliant kitchen team.
We have a fully stocked butchery with a fantastic range of quality free range and local meats from our own and surrounding farms and poultry from our own and other surrounding farms, who we know and trust. We also make all our own Sausages, Burgers and Faggots and regularly hold sausage making courses so you can have a go at making your own.
At Hanley Farm Shop our philosophy is to bring you food in the most sustainable way we can - the less food miles the better. Our suppliers are local farms and people passionate about the quality of the food that they produce. We love visiting food fairs, finding new local producers and tasting exciting new flavours and recipes made with care and respect to the environment.

Wonderful.
Had my Christmas order of meats from here. They were all superb.
They had some lovely Christmas cheeses in aswell so brought loads of different things and it was all very good quality.
From the fresh produce to shelf items. It was all very good.
Plenty of parking and helpful friendly staff.
It's a pleasure to shop there.

Went in and stood in front of the service counter and was completely ignored by at least four members of staff. Eventually grabbed the attention of someone. She told us to take a table which we did. We were again ignored for a further 10 minutes so decided to leave. This is not the first time this has happened , thought we would give them another chance but never again. A warm welcome doesn't cost anything but no welcome costs business. Do not recommend to anyone who expect any level of desent service.

Really disappointing visit to the Cafe for breakfast.
After moving to Lydney at the end of last year I’d been looking forward to trying the breakfast here especially because of the Farm Shops reputation.
Well after ordering the Farmers breakfast, we had to send it back due to cold beans and cold mushrooms. They were very apologetic and offered to replace the food. Unfortunately round 2 was still cold, the beans I think had been reheated and although the mushrooms seemed fresh, the rest of the food was still cold. I must admit, I was very surprised to see 2 chipolatas sausages on the plate,

Farm shop really good. Not the biggest selection but plenty of choice and an excellent butchers counter and deli. We holidayed in a self catering cottage nearby and went to the farm shop most days (we didn't use the cafe). Great produce and the butchery produce was very reasonably priced given the quality and range available. Highly recommended.
