At R.H. Smith (Worthing) Ltd, we provide a comprehensive range of damp control and property preservation services. Serving Sussex and the South East, we specialise in basement waterproofing, wood treatment, damp control, condensation removal, and more. As members of Property Care Association and Trustmark, you can be sure that all of our damp control services are high quality and extensive.
If you've observed tide marks or mould growth on your skirting boards or property walls, these may be signs of rising damp. Since 1956, we have been providing homeowners and commercial property owners with rising damp treatment and general damp penetration treatment services in Worthing. Our damp proofing services are designed to tackle overhead, lateral and rising damp.
Both dry rot and wet rot should not be underestimated as they can cause extensive damage to your property. Left untreated, both dry and wet rot can lead to damage to the structural integrity of your property, making it unsafe and a risk to your family. Not to mention, the wrong diagnosis could lead to the wrong rot treatment, meaning more costly repairs down the road.
If your property's structure mainly comprises timber, it is important you have it checked for woodworm infestation. At R.H. Smith (Worthing) Ltd in Worthing, we have many decades of experience in treating timber. Prior to carrying out any form of timber treatment, we'll conduct a thorough survey to understand the extent of the damage.

R H Smiths Kane, Rob and everyone else have been absolutely phenomenal!! They not only fit me in when they were extremely busy, but did an impeccible job to fix a rather ‘interesting’ damp job I had done previously. They were prompt to the job, did an amazing job on every area, cleaned thoroughly after each day, were super fast on returning calls and emails and have been amazingly understanding with payment plans. I can NOT recommend them enough!!! Thankyou so much for saving my life :) Chloe X

I phoned R.H SMITH for a quote, which I found honest, the company is very respectfully of the property they are working in.
I found the service very polite, knowledgeable and the quality of work was NOT rushed, it was done very professionally, and finished to a high standard.
I would recommend RH SMITH for the any works.

Very friendly and efficient company. Very professional and clean (given that this is often messy work) I am very pleased with the work done in my kitchen and i would highly recommend them.

RH Smith were quick to respond to my request for a timber survey on an ongoing house purchase. Our survey had identified evidence of wood borer in roof timbers. RHS were able to confirm that there was no current activity and therefore no treatment necessary. And to my surprise the inspection and report were free of charge. Thoroughly recommended.

Diagnosed my damp 'problem' as simple condensation where other firms had made much more lucrative (to them) problems. An honest and trustworthy company. Warmly recommended.
