ACE Testing
Portable appliance testing, commonly known as PAT testing, is a way of checking your electrical equipment to see if it is safe and is vital to protect your business, its employees or tenants. According to the Health & Safety Executive, portable appliances account for 25% of all reportable electrical accidents.

By regularly carrying out PAT Testing you can ensure compliance with The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, which requires that any electrical equipment that has the potential to cause injury is maintained in a safe condition.
Services
As a business and employer, you have a duty to prevent any harm coming to your employees and customers. A PAT testing (Portable appliance testing) is one of the ways that you can comply with this obligation. Failure to implement a programme of regular appliance testing can also have implications for your insurance policy should an electrical related injury claim be made.
Anyone who lets residential accommodation as a business activity (such as houses, flats and bedsits, holiday homes, caravans and boats) and is acting as Landlord, is required by law to ensure the equipment they supply as part of the tenancy is safe. This can be done easily through our PAT testing for landlords service.
We pride ourselves on a flexible and competitive pricing structure. Our great PAT test rates provide competitive low PAT test prices aimed at meeting your exact circumstances, keeping disruption to your business and your associated cost of PAT testing to the minimum. As our services are tailored to your exact needs it enables us to ensure our PAT testing costs are kept low.
We offer a microwave oven testing service for checking leakage and electrical safety to complement our portable appliance testing work. This can be carried out at the same time as your PAT testing. We are able to test both domestic and commercial microwave ovens and provide services across the region including Reading, Thatcham, Newbury, Bracknell, Basingstoke, Wkingham, Ascot, Windsor, Guildford, Swindon and Slough.
As part of the PAT testing process, we can help you to implement a system to keep track of your portable appliances. This system provides you with information on the number of appliances you have, their location and their test status. This can be done by location, asset number or test date. When we retest your appliances we can tell you their new locations and if any items have not been retested.
