Acupuncture is a tried and tested system of medicine which has been used to restore, promote and maintain good health for thousands of years. The British Acupuncture Council has produced a series of fact sheets to provide accurate and unbiased general information about how acupuncture may be beneficial for a variety of conditions.
Toyohari involves the use of non-insertive needle techniques and is therefore very gentle and non-invasive making this treatment particularly suitable for anyone who is wary of needles including children. Toyohari is a form of Keiraku Chiryo (Japanese Meridian Therapy) which was developed by blind Japanese acupuncturists.
Shonishin paediatric acupuncture is closely related to Toyohari and is very well tolerated and gentle. It is non-invasive and painless and is therefore suitable for babies and children. Shonishin can be a very helpful technique to support your child's vital energy and health.

A Cosmetic or Facial Acupuncture treatment will concentrate on points and muscles of the face in order to improve elasticity of your skin and general overall appearance. Acupuncture has been around for thousands of years and although relatively new to the West, the Chinese have been using points on the face to combat the signs of ageing and to help with various skin conditions for many years.
