We view each project as a unique home-your home, and we build a loft based on your ideas and dreams. That's why we don't do 'off-the-shelf' loft solutions, and we'll tailor our work to fit what you want. We will complete VELUX installations as part of our loft conversions, but we also offer VELUX services outside of our loft work.
We hold membership with the Federation of Master Builders. The Federation of Master Builders has been operating since 1941, with a goal of continuous improvement in the construction industry for both the companies operating within it and the customers at the other end of things. As a lobbying group and membership organisation, the FMB seeks to improve standards for everyone.
Our team is based in Brighton & Hove, and most of the properties we've worked on area in this area. We've been building lofts in the Brighton & Hove area for over 12 years, and have worked with homes of all shapes and sizes.

There are four major types of loft conversions. At Unique Build, we've completed all of them many, many times and have plenty of expertise with designing and building each type. Kieron and team fitted two velux windows in our loft - from start to finish they inspired confidence, they are clearly highly knowledgeable and professional at the job, courteous, and went the extra mile to get the best result, maximising the extended head height and sorting some extra issues beyond the scope, whilst they were at it - including an older faulty velux. Would recommend without hesitation and use again in the future.

I used Unique Build to install solar-powered awnings on two large Velux windows. I honestly can't fault them. The fitters did a fantastic job and were both efficient and polite, keeping me informed throughout and working hard to get the job done quickly. I also think I paid a fair price for the work. Would definitely use again.

After some internet research and asking some people in the neighbourhood, I contacted Unique Builds for a project we needed done. Rich and his team installed 3 loft windows into our attic space just before Christmas this (2020). He and his team were professional, kind, communicative, efficient and tidy. Both my husband and I commented several… times what nice people they are. We really couldn't have asked for more. The final result is wonderful and we are absolutely thrilled with our new windows. Without any doubts at all, I recommend Unique Builds.

I needed two old Velux windows replaced and was looking for an approved Velux installer. I luckily found Unique Build. Rich and Kieran were very pleasant to deal with and to have working in my home. They kept me informed throughout and the quote was 100% accurate. They were punctual, reliable and very tidy. I cannot fault their workmanship. I am so pleased with my new Velux windows and blinds. Finishing touch to our new ensuite was replacement of our ancient pulley operated velux. Rich and Kieron did an amazing job, replacing with a new electric velux. Everything from my initial enquiry, quote, scheduling the work to the install itself was super efficient. Knowledgeable, friendly guys with keen attention to detail. Couple of problems we hadn’t anticipated until the old window came out were overcome with their solution focussed professionalism - would definitely recommend! Thanks guys - great job 👍🏼.

Unique Build have just finished converting our loft and reconfiguring our downstairs living area. Kieron led our project; he listened well, was flexible where needed and used his sound level of experience to guide our decisions. We are really pleased with the finished look; the team's attention to detail and level of professionalism has been brilliant. They were able to initiate small adjustments from the initial drawings in order to benefit the space and the look. They are all really nice guys - considerate, friendly and tidy. We would 100% recommend them to anyone.

We are in love with our new space. Kieran, Rich, and their lovely team of trades people did an amazing job on our remodel. We started with a 1930's semi which was pretty ho-hum and dark. Now we have a beautiful space to entertain in and couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. We worked with Niche Designs who had experience working with Unique… which helped the process and flow of information. Their team was professional, personable, and reactive to our needs. Builds take longer than you think so it is brilliant to have a team of people you like, respect and that have a good sense of humour
