Do you need to shorten a lengthy technical translation? There a lots of reasons you may need our abridging and abstracting service. A text may need to be abridged for a number of reasons. It may not be economical to publish it in its current form, perhaps you are preparing a text for translation and need to shorten it; it could be too long for the requirements of a new market, some sections may be unnecessary, or the writing style longwinded.
We offer a full range of global translation services - and that does include Americanisation. They just speak English, right, with a few funny spellings? Well, not quite.
It is worth establishing whether your audience and recipients of your document would prefer British or American terminology, as although many US terms may be understood by a British person and vice versa others may cause confusion and a need for time to be spent on further explanations or clarifications.

Clare gave me excellent advice on how to improve my CV and tailor it specifically to prospective translation clients, whether agencies or direct clients. I've had much more success with my marketing efforts since the clinic, so I cannot thank Clare enough. What a difference a conversation with the right person can make! Clare offered a CV review but our hour long session resulted in so much more than an improved CV. She selflessly offered her insight into the translation industry which she clearly knows inside out. I recently took Clare up on one of her many great charity initiatives - a review of my CV in exchange for a donation to a local museum. Clare's review of my CV was very useful. Clare really took the time to go through it thoroughly (both before and during the session) and answer any questions I had. She even took another look (free of charge) at a revised version. It is clear that she really knows her stuff and is also keen on helping others. Clare is a real inspiration of somebody who has set up and runs a successful language services business, while never ceasing to help out her community.

Clare recently reviewed my CV, LinkedIn profile and website as part of her CV clinic. I found the whole experience really useful.
