Services
We have the services of community psychiatric nurses who are involved in helping people with major and minor psychiatric illness together with stress-related problems. Our health visitors are nurses who specialise in family and public health, promoting health in all age groups. They advise on pre-conceptual care, pregnancy and family planning, child development, nutrition and immunisations.
During the hours when the surgery is closed and when it is a non-emergency situation, please telephone 111. This will connect you to the national NHS 111 service, who will assess your condition and direct you to the local service best suited to your needs. For any serious life-threatening emergencies, such as chest pain or shortness of breath, always call 999.
Please do let us know if you have any comments, suggestions or complaints about the service you have received. We operate a practice complaints procedure that meets national criteria and ensures your views are recorded and, where appropriate, acted upon.
If you would like to make a complaint, please contact either Sally Pern (Practice Manager) or one of the doctors at the surgery as soon as possible by either phoning the surgery on 01253 955350 and the receptionist will book you an appointment to see the Practice Manager or by writing a letter to the surgery addressing your complaint.

Your doctor and other NHS healthcare professionals caring for you need to keep records about your health and any treatment and care you receive from the NHS. These records help to ensure that you receive the best possible care and healthcare professionals have the most accurate, up-to-date information about you, while any concerns you may have can be properly investigated.
Research shows that treatments are more effective if patients choose, understand and control their care. This is why giving people more choice is a key priority of the NHS. The Choice Framework sets out your legal right to choice about your NHS treatment and care, which usually involves selecting a GP, hospital and making informed decisions about your treatment.

Absolutely disgusting practice. Misdiagnosing children and giving them Prozac. They wouldn't refer a suicidal patient to the right services which resulted in them taking a fatal overdose. Refused other patients life saving treatment despite the consultant referring it as urgent. By far the worst surgery I have ever encountered. To make matters even worse, allow unauthorized people access to medical records. Would not attend this place, like my life depends on it: licence to kill through absolute incompetence.

The doctors once you can actually get an appointment with them are fabulous. The staff on reception not so. Have tried to get a telephone appointment due to chronic ear infection. Just need antibiotics. Have been told nothing for at least two weeks due to Easter and I should go to urgent care at the walk in centre. Very helpful? And not the first time this has happened. I might as well just register at Whitegate Drive.

I don't normally do reviews of things but after being asked, I am more than willing. I called yesterday afternoon with a query and 9:10am today I had a call from my doctor talking to me as if I had asked for an actual appointment. He talked me through what he was doing with my medication despite there being no need, and even spoken about a review in 4 weeks over the phone! Thankyou Holland House, all of you.

Mostly Rude receptionist's, you can never get an appointment at this surgery. Attended the surgery on the 1st Feb to make an appointment, told no appointments available for the whole of February, so asked to make an appointment in Match, no sorry not making appointment's for March yet. This is totally unacceptable and it is not the first time. There are many incidents to complain about regarding this surgery, the main ones are as follows. You can never get to see a doctor for week's and week's. When you do, time is very sort, you are only allowed to specify 1 aliment. What if various aliments are

Unfortunately some bad reps working there are tarnishing the lovelier ones. Just awful to deal with especially when unwell as if we enjoy ringing the surgery for no reason. Make us feel like we are literally begging to be seen by a doctor. there are better ways to speak with patients , yes patients - people who are NOT well. re train your staff especially those awful reps.

The receptionist are the most pleasant people who actually care about us. They always try & accommodate best they can to get appts & help with advice. The whole surgery is clean, welcoming & a pleasant place to be. I’ve had 2 appts today, so had lunch in between at the lovely cafe, again staff lovely & chatty.
Edit- had an appointment with Andrew… today to help me with all the tablets I take & how I could do it better to reduce side effects. I must say, if you take loads of tablets & need advice, don’t bother the doctors go to Andrew, really nice chap

Holland House Medical team and Practice Management are professional in their approach and also innovative in exploring new ways of improving patient care. Their work in supporting people with dementia through hosting training events for "dementia friends" and their active participation in external 'Singalong' celebrations has contributed to… raising over £10k for the Alzheimer's Charity. HH is also willing to share good practice engaging with other Fylde & Wyre surgeries to consider how we can improve the health of our people. Keep up the good work!
