With the support of Arts Council England's Renaissance Strategic Support Fund, the three accredited museums of Torbay are working together to develop a shared vision for the future. Torquay Museum, Torre Abbey and Brixham Heritage Museum are using this opportunity to take stock - from our organisation and governance, to how we develop our collections, our education, learning and community programmes.
This exciting project aims to lay the foundations for a new, more sustainable future for the Museums of Torbay. Our three accredited museums are a significant cultural, community and economic resource situated in the 2nd largest population centre in Devon.

Arrived at the Museum today with my Grandson to attend a nice lecture on live animals that this lady had collected over to time .
It was spoilt for me somewhat as I am very aware of various forces afoot mostly in the cities but creeping into our schools in Devon that want to destroy English history and Replace it with the notion ..history from countries that have mainly black or brown people is the only history that should survive
This gentleman introducing the lecturer commented on the fact that Victorian displays of animals in the museum were some how nasty, because they were achieved by Victorians
