Richard Gelding was founded by Richard in 1976 on the current site in London's exclusive Mayfair. From the beginning Richard prided himself on the knowledge and experience of his sales people and the highly personalised level of service that they are able to offer.
In 2005 Richard retired and his successor is David Moss who stems from a long line of menswear retailers, stretching back to his great, great grandfather who established himself as a London retailer in 1840.

Our special relationship with the Canali fashion brand means we are experts in helping you to select the right fabrics, size and style for your next exclusive suit. Canali offers a broad selection of cloths which can be recreated to your specification in their workshops in Italy. Your suit will be ready in as little as 30 days.
In addition to the wide range of Canali suits, blazers and jackets in our store, we have also been selected and trained by Canali to provide their exclusive su misura (made to measure) service where we create your garment to your specific requirements. Our skilled clothiers will take your measurements and help you to select the style, fabrics, colour and finish of your suit.
We are trouser specialists and pride ourselves on providing one of the largest range of formal suit trousers found anywhere in the country. Our extensive collection of woollen and cotton mens trousers are available in a wide variety of colours and weights, pleated and non-pleated. Our brands include Italian fashion house Canali and PT01 and Hiltl, specialist trouser makers.
