I started dancing at the age of 6 and as a child competed in local, national and international Old Time, Ballroom and Latin American competitions. I returned to dancing during my time at university, where I studied for my BSc in Mathematics, Computer Science and Economics. For many years I combined senior management roles in the IT industry with competitive dancing.
Linda and I met on the competition circuit, partnered each other in 1982 and married in 1984. I started dancing at the age of 5 with the ISTD at a school in Worcester Park. After completing my medals I decided that I wanted to compete, and commenced competitive dancing at 17. Together we won a number of significant amateur Ballroom and Latin American events, including the prestigious London Cup.

Services
We run a number of classes for adults each week for all standards. Classes operate on a 'course' basis (usually in line with SCC's academic 1/2 terms), with a fee for the number of weeks in the course. Our policy is that you stay with your partner throughout the session, which means that our courses are really designed for couples - we do not rotate partners.
We offer private lessons for all grades, ages and standards. Whether you want to learn specific dances, something for a specific event, improve your dancing quality, work for medals, learn a wedding first dance or gain top class competitive coaching, we have the experience and knowledge to meet your needs.
For moment we will be running 'book and pay in advance' practices for adult social dancers every Thursday at the Oddfellows Hall, Dorking High Street. The half of each session is a Ballroom practice, typically 3 x Waltz, 3 x Tango, 2 x Viennese Waltz, 3 x Foxtrot, 3 x Quickstep. The second half is a Latin American practice, typically 3 x Cha Cha Cha, 3 x Samba, 3 x Jive, 2 x Paso Doble, 3 x Rumba.
