South Liverpool FC
South, formed in 1935, have been promoted to the North West Counties League for season 2021/22 returning to the National League System after a 30 year gap. Our club has junior teams from Under 7 to Under 16. An Under 18 youth side along with four Veterans teams and an Over 55's Walking Football show the breadth of the club. We are always happy to hear from old fans and players alike and grateful to see or use pictures, memorabilia and facts that help add, or fill in gaps, to our entire club history.

The name of South Liverpool FC first came about in the late 19th century. That club, which bears no connection with the our club, enjoyed success in its Dingle Lane home before the First World War but saw its fortunes change and by 1921 it had ceased and its remnants merged with New Brighton F.C. One of its leading lights Mr W J Sawyer went on to be involved in both Everton FC and New Brighton FC.
Above is South with our new UTILITA sponsored kit. Our club photographer capturing the team in front of the new club stand just before they were quite ready! Front Row (l-r) Brad Williams, Matt Hughes, Alex Woodcock, Steve Kelly, Kevin martin, Kevin Cringle, Owen Hough, Stuart Cornfoot. Subs not pictured - Matt Butler, Tom Feeley (who scored on his debut), Anthony Scotland, Lance Cunliffe & Charlie Byrne.
Martin has been at the South manager helm since the start of the 2001/02 season and has been in charge for over 600 first team games. He is South Liverpool FC's longest serving manager and our most successful. Martin previously played for South, making his debut in our opening County Combination game in 1992 at Electric Supply Reserves and totalled 184 appearances over the next eight years.
Returning to lead the "Rezzies" is Carl Buoey who was in charge of our youth team from 2007 to 2009 and then led the Reserves from 2009 to 2016. Stepping up to assist Carl is Neil Roach who has made 330 appearanaces for the club since joining us in 2010. He has been the captain of our reserves and is in the top 10 club appearances in our entire history.
In these pages we record previous team pictures we have from way back when the club was formed up right to 2014. We will add to to these pages and hope you enjoy them. We detail line ups where known and if you can add any name please send us an email we'd love to hear from you. If you have a South team picture not on here, please send a copy with any names known and we'll feature it here.

Unfortunately South Liverpool are not a real football club.. the ground isn't a ground its a glorified 3g pitch with a fence round it.. characterless. There's just a whole lot of nothing going on there. No bar so of it's a few beers you're after like 99% of football fans then there's nothing here for you.. they have a cafe!! At £5 to get on its vastly overpriced. Go and visit one/any of the other none league clubs on Merseyside if you want a real authentic football experience..

Ome of my favourite pitches. Lovely and flat and good size. Nothing to do with the fact I always seem to score there too 🤫

Great staff and clean facilities. Only issue is the pitch has way too many black bits and no gates down the far end if the ball goes over
