We are a voluntary organisation with Scottish Charity status and our management committee is made up entirely of local parents. We are regulated by the Care Inspectorate and are accredited with the "Aiming High" Quality Assurance award.
We offer a high quality, affordable Community Nursery, Holiday Club, Teen Club, Breakfast Club and After School care facility for children attending Loanhead, Paradykes, St. Margaret's, Roslin, Rosewell and Bilston primary schools.We also have a Saturday Club providing care for children within Edinburgh and Midlothian.

Services
LASC work as a team therefore, although we do mix occasionally between the different clubs, we keep the nursery staff the same for continuity for the children. We have a Play Leader in each setting so please do not hesitate to ask them about any concerns or issues that you may have. Our aim is for all staff to be friendly, approachable and professional.

You still shop directly with each retailer as you would normally, but simply by using the links from the site first each retailer will make a cashback donation to Loanhead After School Club.
The project is run by a volunteer management committee. This committee is elected at the Annual General Meeting. It is made up of parents whose children attend the Project. They make decisions about the scope of work and ensure the sustainability of the Project. Parents are encouraged to become involved by attending the Annual General Meeting, joining the committee and providing feedback.
Our Nursery sessions run from 8am-6pm for a full day, from 8am-1pm for a morning session and 1pm-6pm for an afternoon session. We also offer a Breakfast Club service which you can choose to add on a bolt on from either 7am or 7.30pm. We are also part of Midlothian Council's 'A good time to be two' project, which offers up to 16 hours per week of funding for two year olds.
The Loanhead Community Nursery offers high quality, affordable child care for children between the ages of 3 months and 5 years. We also provide a Wrap Around Care Service in all our After School clubs for preschool children picking up from their School Nursery. We follow a 'rolling lunch' programme, available on request.
