I am an Ofsted registered childminder working in my own home in the West Hill area of Hastings, East Sussex. I'm married, with three children (one at home) and a very friendly cat and dog. I'm regularly inspected by Ofsted - receiving consistently good scores - and am fully insured. My husband and I are DBS (formerly CRB) checked.
Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills) is a government department that inspects and regulates institutions in England providing education to learners of all ages and providers of care for children and young people (website). The overall level of services for children in local authority areas (these are called Joint Area Reviews).

Sandra looked after my twin daughters from the age of 2 until they started school just before their 5th Birthday. We viewed a number of settings before we came to Yellow House but we instantly felt at ease when we came for a viewing and met Sandra and were so happy that our girls could attend.
We can't thank Sandra and Abbie enough for how well… they took care of our daughters. They always looked forward to coming to Nursery and enjoyed all the different activities which helped them develop and made their transition in to school very smooth.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Sandra and the care provided for my daughter. Communication is always clear and parents choices and preferences are always taken in to account, working alongside us to ensure that care is not just suited to my daughter but helps her develop. My daughter is doing extremely well and due to the care… Sandra has provided, is sociable, chatty and keen to learn. I can go to work without worrying, knowing that not only is my daughter in safe hands but that she is happy and settled. Sandra has become not just a childminder, but a key person in my daughter

Sandra has cared for both of my children from just before their first birthdays. Sandra has always been professional and very friendly. She is very reliable- in almost 6 years she has never let me down. Both of my children have been very happy in her care and have made great progress. The activities that she plans for the children are educational and fun whilst the playroom and garden provide opportunities for children to be independent. My daughter still enjoys going on INSET days. I can not recommend Sandra enough.
