Services
Established in 1982, CCL has a reputation for providing quality English language courses for learners of all nationalities. CCL is a friendly and fun place for students from all over the world to come and develop their English. Cambridge is a wonderful place to study and get to know new friends and our social activity programmes are enjoyed by everyone.
Spaces on summer courses are limited, don't miss out - enrol online now to reserve a place! A genuinely educational experience - all lessons, activities and visits have a linguistic and cultural purpose, as well as being enjoyable. UK teenagers act as Teaching Assistants enabling students to meet local young people of a similar age.
St. Mary's school is where our junior courses are held during the summer. The school is situated in the heart of the university city of Cambridge, only a few minutes' walk from the public library, Cambridge Arts Theatre and most of the restaurants, cafeterias, cinemas and designer shops. Whatever your interest, whether it be drama, sport, music, films or arts and crafts, you will find it here.
In addition to our regular English + Activities summer course, we run a number of other programmes during the summer. These courses generally share lessons with our English + Activities course, but have different activity programmes. All courses are for two weeks only. This course can be organised for any of the two-week periods of our summer course, and can be joined without extra charge.
As well as improving English language skills, students who visit us here in Cambridge are encouraged to take full advantage of the rich variety of social, cultural and sporting activities offered by CCL. The course programme includes approximately 3 hours of activities every day, including punting on the river Cam, trips to Cambridge Colleges and visits to local attractions, arts & crafts as well as the famous CCL Summer BBQ!

Students and staff are loud and have a blatant disregard for the local residents. Maybe they should teach manners as well as English.

I have been in Cambridge for two weeks this summer and it was a beautiful experience. The school as well as the accommodation was really nice, the perfect place to learn English. In case of problems or questions , the teachers as well as all other staff was always there for help. Everything, for example excursions or the activities, were organized perfectly. In summary my stay in Cambridge was a wonderful experience which really improved my language skills and I would recommend The Cambridge Centre for Languages to everybody.

I spent two weeks in Cambridge. I had a wonderful single room; furnished with everything I needed. Since our teachers were very nice we spoke a lot with them. This has improved our pronunciation and vocabulary. I made many friends with kids from other countries. In the afternoon after class we had certain activities we participated in. For example, we went into the city and visited colleges and museums. At the weekend we visited London and Brighton. In summary, my stay in Cambridge was a wonderful experience.

This is a great school for children. I helped with their winter camp and saw the smiles on students' face. The trips were well planned and students learned not only the knowledge but also the British culture. Highly recommended!

Its such a wonderful place! I’ve been here for four weeks, and they were amazing!
We studied English, we played games, we had a lot of fun!
We had like 2 English lessons in the afternoon or morning (depends on ur group, but u will swap anyeay), first one is about grammar and different interesting topics, second one is project, you so some interesting stuff that is somehow connected with current topic, that is also about culture.
The real funs begins when the activities starts, everyday you have at least afternoon or morning activity, and if you stay in residence evening one, if ur homestay

Possible the worst organised school I have experienced in recent years. The person managing the in school curriculum did not have a clue. And the directress Mrs Chen was an absolute nightmare as she was very flakey with her direction to say the least. Poor service, there are far better organised schools in the UK, avoid unless you are desperate. SM
