We have professional and fully qualified instructors including my daughter Stephanie who has an excellent competition record in British Showjumping and is out competing regularly and holds a UKCC level 2 and is a Pony Club coach. We are a BHS approved livery yard with 35 block built stables all with equimat rubber matting.
Our competitions are held throughout the year including dressage, showjumping and gymkhanas. Competitions are held either in the large indoor school or large outdoor school. Refreshments are available and a large hard car park. The Pony Club is open to anyone between the age of 5 - 25, if you love horses, enjoy riding and like spending time with them, then Pony Club is for you.

Valley Farm is a family owned business set up in 1987 by Denise and Les Faulkner. Ideally situated in the picturesque village of Shotteswell, only 5 miles from Banbury and close to the M40. We are a friendly and approachable yard whilst maintaining a very positive attitude towards achievement.

Welcome to our team page, where we would like to introduce you to the people that make Valley Farm what it is. Denise started Valley Farm in 1984 as a small riding school with only 4 ponies. Prior to this she was a florist and horses were her hobby. Over the years she has built up the riding school and improved the facilities.

You can hire a new "PAS015" standard hat for 2.00 per lesson. Boots are available to hire for 1.00 per lesson or shoes/boots with a small heel and flat sole. Leggings or trousers are more comfortable than wearing jeans, tops must cover the shoulders. Yes, we will do our utmost to keep you safe. However horses and ponies may sometimes be unpredictable and each rider rides at their own risk.
Our range of facilities are shown below, we run unafilliated dressage competitions, in-house dressage competitons, clear round, pony club competitons and clinics. Outdoor arena 25m x 50m has a sand and rubber surface available with a full set of showjumps.
Our horse walker which was installed in 2011 is the perfect addition to ensure top class professional care of our horses and an excellent way to keep your horse fit or that little extra work if you can't come and ride.The floor is rubber matting so no danger of your horse slipping or walking on concrete.
