Jay & I Events began life in 1988 as Jay & I Services, and was established by Jay and his wife Indira. Initially involved in videography, Jay's eye for detail helped him to recognise that Indian Wedding dcor lacked any creativity. Identifying a gap in the market, Jay passionately launched a dcor service with a Hindu Wedding Mandap that was a complete innovation.
With more than twenty years experience in the dcor industry, we have built up a large range of Mandaps that will hopefully offer you some inspiration for your wedding. One of our main passions lies in Mandaps and Bespoke Mandap Designs and always look forward to creating something new for those clients who wish for something unique.
We used many references to inspire the creation of the Grand Shivalee Palace Mandap. Notably, the Opera House in Monte Carlo and the wondrous architecture of Rajasthan. The matching balustrade backdrop and detail on the Mandap is entirely Indian, but the mandap arches connecting the pillars on the mandap were inspired by elements in the Opera House.
When we think of any celebration especially weddings, we think of the decorations that set the tone of the event. Deciding on your Wedding Decorations and especially Wedding Flowers is one of the real pleasures of wedding planning. Being able to choose dcor that reflects your style, to make a statement at your event, is something that all couples look forward to.

This October we had the pleasure of working with Shrianka at Jay and I Events when we were booked by the clients for Wedding Coordination.
Shrianka was very helpful leading up to the wedding when re-confirming setting up, changeover and breakdown timings for a whole day wedding and reception with 600 guests.
Shrianka went the extra mile to ensure the mandap looked at its best when there was a small hiccup at the venue. She picked up my call from the venue the night before the wedding and was happy to discuss solutions and delivered the solution on the morning of the wedding. Her calm approach

Everything that Jay & I Events designs is absolutely stunning. I couldn't believe how beautiful everything looked on the day of my wedding - it was more beautiful that I could have imagined. I just gave Sid a couple photos from Pinterest to indicate the vibe I was looking for (yellow, temple, South Indian, marigolds & banana leaves) and designed the rest. The picture speaks for itself. I will add better ones when I get them back from the photographer.

Considered them for my wedding given that their arrangements are fantastic, no doubt about that, hence they get stars. Unfortunately that can't be said for their sales team; once they knew that my one event would not be a five-figure booking, they simply stopped replying to my enquiry emails and didn't return any calls (16 months ahead of the event, no excuses).
