Professional Remedial Services offer an installation service for gas proof / gas resistant membranes. In order to provide additional protection to structures and buildings from potentially harmful ground gases, specialist gas proof /gas resistant membranes are installed. Examples of harmful ground gases would include carbon dioxide, radon, methane, VOCs (Volatile organic compounds) and hydrocarbons.
Only rising damp can be cured by the installation of a chemical damp proof course. Rising damp is a commonly encountered problem in many types of building, however it is often misdiagnosed and many damp proof courses are installed unnecessarily. Condensation is produced by the occupiers of the property and a family of four can produce many litres of water in the form of vapour every day, (see our section on condensation for more information).
