Nick Brain Hairdressing is one of Baths' longest established Salons, starting out in the City back in the early 1980's. Nick began working on his own servicing a few local clients in Bath. As the demand for Nick's talents increased, the Salon and the Team needed to expand and the business moved to York Street close to the Abbey in 1998.
With further awards and accolades to come, the company went from strength to strength with further expansion into a second York Street Salon opening in 2005. The Salon has become synonymous with contemporary styling and attention to detail with our clients enjoying a relaxed yet professional atmosphere in the hands of our experienced stylists and colour technicians.

I've been going to this salon for years, always have Danni who does a great colour & cut. Everyone is professional & friendly. After my recent visit post Coronavirus it was just as enjoyable, the salon was immaculate, they have done a great job in making you feel very safe.

I had my haircut and highlighted yesterday by Leila. Really cannot recommend Leila and all the staff at Nick Brain’s high enough. The measures they have put in place for Covid are extensive and I felt very safe and what’s more it was still a lovely experience as the measures just meant for a more calm experience. As a testimony to Leila’s cutting skills, she last cut my hair in February and although a lot longer, it was still an easy style for me to maintain.

I cannot recommend Dani @ Nick Brain in Bath highly enough. Dani has been my go-to hair expert for colour and styling for over a decade. Following the recent easing of lockdown restrictions, I was lucky enough to be one of the first returning clients to the salon on 4 July. Social distancing measures and PPE were in place, along with a warm welcome and the usual sprinkling of magic. ✨ I’ve received compliments not only from family and friends but complete strangers too! No better validation needed! Thank you, Dani!

The best salon I have been to in Bath, all the staff are so friendly and it’s such a lovely environment! I have always absolutely loved the results of my hair, and love how much the hairdressers listen to what you want and always get it perfect! I couldn’t recommend Nick Brain Hairdressing enough

Went to get my hair done by Kerrie and Chris after everything was lifted from lockdown and I was really impressed at how well they were prepared with their socially distanced measures. All the staff were wearing face masks and the salon seats had been moved to allow space for each customer. Everyone was so friendly, it felt like my experience there hadn’t changed and I’ve been going to this salon for years! Thanks guys! :)

Wonderful experience. I'm fussy when it comes to haircuts and it's rare that I leave a salon feeling as well looked after as I did here. It was my first visit, but the staff took time to carefully consult with me about my lifestyle and hair type before Charlie did a fantastic cut of my hair (minding all of my ear piercings which hair dressers normally seem to catch!) so it looks the best that it has done in such a long time. They gave me advice about how to do my hair myself. It was fantastic all-round. I will definitely be back - thank you!
